OH HELL YEAH!!!! anyone who knows this group knows the WHITE GLOVES IN THE DARK AT THE UPTOWN in Philly my hometown.... OMG OMG OMG words cannot describe seeing this group live......... nothing can compare it sends a chill in my body TODAY DAMN this is IT BABY once again REAL TALENT AWESOME!!!!!!!! Thank you soooooo very much for this posting. LOVE IT !!!!!!!
i love this music from this era. none of the crap out today can compare. absolutely not. i am so flushed right now i forgot how to spell. i have to keep correcting myself.
que temaso, me recuerda mi juventud, solia escuchar musica soul, en discos de vinilos muy viejos y usados, gracias a yt tengo la posilbiidad de escucharlos mas nitidos
I LOVE THIS SONG I WAS 11 WHEN THIS SONG CAME OUT AND COULD SING EVERY WORD THEY DON'T SING LIKE THIS ANYMORE.AND THE LYRICS WERE OUT OF SIGHT PEOPLE REALLY WISH THERE WAS A COURT OF LOVE.
In 68, they use to practice in our gameroom of Drew Hall at Howard U. We'd knew they'd be great. When they were ready, I remember the show they put on at Cramton Auditorium (lights out, then they appeared with the white gloves), and the rest was history.
Dr Cornel you're a awesome and thanks for putting this out there on Facebook. So So true but sometimes these jokers don't know how to accept that type of rejection. Love you and keep it coming....
man , i remember going to the uptown in philly catchin them , with them white gloves and shoes on in the dark , and singin this song , blew me away and them ol skool basement parties in south philly ...thanks bro
tell you what this was when was not afaried to say we got hurt to i remember sitting in the cellar broken hearted and the fellows were sitting there with you through the pain and heartache and passing the dutchie remember all you older gents out there what ever happened to those days why did we let them go
there is no justic for these groups do perform but young people did not follow in their foot step. so the art of true performers is being lost. junk yard noise makers and fake and enhanced sound production is okay if that is your thing. but great performers start within the heart for the love of an art not a payday.
For those who remembered the old black concert circuit(Apollo in NYC,Uptown in Philly,Carta Barron in DC,Regal in Chicago) the Unifics and the old Manhattans blew away the competition with their choreography.NO ONE wanted to follow them afterwards.
I saw the Unifics in Boston back in 1969. These guys were the baddest group I ever saw in my life...and I've seen them all..(Tempts, Delphonics, Ojays, Moments, Intruders, Manhattans, Spinners, Four Tops, Miracles etc.) Your dad can sing his ass off. I'll never forget their white gloves and impeccable choreography.
@toclever4u I OVE THIS SONG I WAS 13 YEARS WHEN THIS SONG CAME OUT-SAY HELLO TO DAD FROM ALL OF US FANS-THOSE WERE FUN DAYS LATE 1960'S AND EARLY 1970's

Always the The Unific's. Love this song, my favorite line is at the end when he hears the verdict. And sings..."I got JUSTICE!!!!!"
