  • figured it out. the answer is no...

  • the minecraft_server.jar download gave me a zip instead. will that work?

    > Creating Retroguard config files

    == Decompiling Client ==

!! Modified jar detected. Unpredictable results !!

    > Creating SRGS for client

    > Applying Retroguard to client

" And stops there what am I doing wrong?

  • @darkrulle ur lucky mine says cant fint the path spcicifyed press any key to continu then whe i press a key it just closes the .bat....and ive done everything hese done

  • @darkrulle That means there are mods in your Jar file, not the one you downloaded, but the one from your.minecraft folder. So delete your bin folder in your .minecraft folder, and then run minecraft, and update. This will create a fresh Jar. Should work then.

  • press 6 .... And I will be done in a bit

  • so I can't do this on 32 bit Windows XP?

  • @Zach1231982 Sure you can! Just choose the 'x86' version wherever I choose the '64-bit' version in the video.

  • @LectiOpi Thx, I was kinda confused, cuzz I would think the one i need would be x32. So thx for helping.

  • @LectiOpi thanks :D i was having trouble with having a 32 bit too :D

  • does it work with 1.0.0

  • @BakennCraft It's the exact same, but get MCP 5 instead of 4.

  • @LectOpi I'm running through your tutorial and decompile is throwing a list of exceptions. I noticed that the first thing the decompile process does, is looks for javac.exe in program files. I set up my Path correctly, but also noticed there's no javac.exe in my java bin folder, just javaw.exe. Any ideas?

  • @humfrevil you haven't either haven't installed the JDK but just the JRE, OR you set the path to the location of the JRE, not the JDK. javac is the java compiler that only comes with JDK (the java development kit), NOT JRE (the java runtime environment).

Somewhat confusingly the JDK also ships with a JRE, which you don't need cause all the necessary files are in the JDK directory (java, javaw, etc. as well as the JDK only stuff like javac, jar, etc.)

    Confused yet? good :D

  • in eclipse, when i go to client, minecraft doesnt open, instead it gives me a string of code that i dont understand, should this happen

  • and where can i get your background, my man?

  • you should say in the eclipse download that you need to get eclipse classic ore else it will give you an error

  • I followed the instructions but eclipse gives me an error: the eclipsec executable launcher was unable to locate its companion shared library

  • so does this work with beta 1.8.1?

  • @Team7Spectre Yup!

  • Got everything done. Opened up Eclipse, ran Client, got:

Error occurred during initialization of VM

Could not reserve enough space for object heap

    How do I fix this?

  • Comment removed

  • can we do this with a 32bit computer?

  • @alpha0mixz Yep, just choose the x86 version(s) instead of the 64-bit!

  • @LectiOpi i downloaded jkd for 64bit and its not showing in my java folder?

  • HELP! I have a 32-bit comp and i cant download JDK Because its 86x 64x bit Help

  • Oh my god I know how to download shit, just get to what matters.

  • do you decompile, make your mod, recompile then reobfuscate or decompile, recompile, make your mod, then reobfuscate?

  • @Guitarerguy decompile, make mod, recompile, reobfuscate.

  • I took a client that was already modified, decompiled it, deobfuscated it, then customized it thoroughly. When I was done, I recompiled and reobfuscated, then tried to run it in Minecraft. I got vanilla Minecraft. I know that it is imperative you don't do that, but I did. I am no expert in code at all, but I really really want a custom client. But tell me why it had the same result as when I copied the code from the modded client's modified files, and put them in the vanilla jar, it didn't work?

  • OMG YOU CAN PREDICT THE FUTURE!! I got 4.3 O.O

  • I love you.

  • 'Build path specifies execution environment JavaSE-1.6. There are no JREs in the workspace strictly compatible with this environment.' I have the same warning for client and server folders. Help?

  • @DoctorSmithers Fixed. Just removed it from libraries and added it again.

  • hey while i wa decompiling it said can not find server sources

    can anyone help?

  • Hmmm, ever since I got the JDK 1.7.0, minecraft is completely stuck at the "Updating Minecraft" screen. I got x64 JDK (Running Win7 x64)

  • @computerpro101 You have to use JDK 1.6_26, It says so on the page where you download MCP to use it with JDK 1.6_26, not JDK 1.7

  • @CrazyLegsPC3

Uninstalled JDK7, Installed JDK6, same problem. JRE and JDK are both x64

  • if your running 64 bit should u get the 86 or 64?

  • @LordRedfire00 If you're running 64 bit, I suggest you get the 64 bit version.

  • @LectiOpi wasnt sure becuase some of the stuff i run is 32* bit, just making sure becuase 86 i belive is for running 32 bit stuff on 64 bit, i may be wrong however, and i got the 64 bit versions

  • i downloaded the mcp but because i have winrar i can only extract the all of it one by one!

    pls help

  • @metalsonicOmega Get 7-zip. It's a great archive extractor.

  • @LectiOpi neveermind i fixed it

  • what if you already have saved eclipse in another location?

  • @metalsonicOmega just right click and with winrar hit extract files

  • @metalsonicOmega If you select them all with your mouse, and then hit ctrl+c, go to the directory you want to put them in, and hit ctrl+v, it'll extract them all at the same time. Alternatively, you can right click the zip and click "extract here" and it will extract the contents to the same directory as the zip is in.

  • Hey, whats your background? Can you post a Download link?
