  • anyone slamming this processor seems jacked up. if you dont like these devices go elsewhere. but technology has advanced in musical equipment and as far as a multi-fect guitar processor goes, 11 rack REALLY is stellar. more than worth a purchase if your deep into music development and or have a studio. truth

  • "This is heavy duty."

Please. It's a plug in in a rack.Gets some OK sounds, but all this revolutionary stuff is amazing. How much are these guys getting paid?

  • Please tell me I can plug this to my laptop, put on some headphones, and go. x]

  • This whole video is one BIG 'that's what she said' joke.

  • yeah 11rack is great...check my vids......

  • What should I buy...? The 11R or Guitar Rigg for home recording? The fact that this commercial doesn't 'show' any sound does make me wonder....The sound should sell the thing not the words spoken.....and a big company as Digidesign KNOWS that....or are they a stupid bunch..?

  • I have it and let me tell you I just scratch the surface and its a MONSTER!

  • Digital processing will NEVER i repeat NEVER replace a quality tube amp sound,,especially when cranked up<< its cool 2 get alot of sounds in 1 box,,but what would u rather have,a honda and a toyota and a mazda and a chevy,,or just 1 bently?

  • @EnveBeats I like using both myself, tube preamp through the digital cab/fx. The M2 Lead on the Eleven Rack with a real overdrive pedal going in is really really close to a full on tubed up amp/cab. Currently, I am using the Eleven amps more because they help the tube sound along. I mean, my Mesa Quad can do more Marshal type sounds when combined. But I can see getting a Randal MTS RM4 and having that sound also...and as I'm trying out preamps, I can reamp until I get the best sound.

  • this sucks...no examples....shite editing..

  • @synesthesia67 haha.. i cinda liked it.. made me smile. They could have thrown in some riffs and licks tho'

  • By the way, all of the promo music for all of these Eleven Rack videos posted by avidtechnology were all made with the Eleven Rack - there are no mic'd cabinets or real heads anywhere in the music on these videos. We just felt better about doing it that way. I did all of the music in the few weeks before the launch in mid-September, using only the 11R for all the guitars in the songs, transition licks, and demo material. So, in effect, you are actually hearing quite a bit of the Rack in these.

  • My question to all those sound purists is this...At the end of the day can you spot the difference on recordings between this for example, revalver ,vintage amp room or a real amp? can you tell which is which?(if someone doesnt tell you?)I tried that many times with people telling them that the plugin is the amp and vice versa.....and they were choosing the plugin....lol

  • Hey Phil Thank M-Audio for The awesome Axiom pro controllers AKA the biggest piles of garbage ever. The first one I bought came out of the box with a broken key. Probably thanks to "Made In China" quality. I returned it for a second one. I run protools 8 with vista. This thing is supposed to be plug and play and not even need drivers to work on my system. Drivers or not no matter what I do, it will not work. Tech support is useless. People save your money and your sanity.

  • This seem retarded..

  • i do have the 11rack in my studio and it is amazin the clarity of the saund and how well this unit replicate the saund and the feel of some of the best amps of all times this unit really rocks but like always there is some complaints and i have two

first needs more amps and cabinets also more mics and the ability to use them in pairs and combine them

second this thing needs a stand alone application to edit and manipulate the order of the patches without opening protools

  • Fractal Audio Axe-FX sounds 100% better..no compromise

  • And a Ferrari Enzo is better than a Lamborghini Diablo. And a Jumbo 747 is better than a Ferrari Enzo. And a Space Shuttle is better than a Jumbo. Always with the same shit man...

  • who the fuck wants a Ferrari...its all noise..I want to hear music...I dont the drive the Axe I use it to demonstrate what I can do..any I prefer an Audi R8 anyway..

  • What I mean is that in all Youtube there's a comment that says: "A Les Paul Custom is better than a Les Paul Standard" "Protools HD3 is better than HD2", "My Soldano SLO-100 is better than your Bogner".

  • As a pto player..I have used hundreds of units in my lifetime..and it has come to this..Axe-FX..have tried the Eleven Rack..but did not come up to my..read..MY specs...try one and see what it can offer you..studio and live...I have no complaints...and neither do the people whom I do work for..they get the sound that they ask for..anyway..I dont care for Les Pauls or Strats...prefer a PRS...feel that nearly all the tricks are in one unit....but I do get your drift..

  • ...and my Bogner is better than your Soldano SLO-100 man!;)

  • @brymacbluesband AMEN! Axe - FX is the real thing..the rest is for yumyums or Europeans..afterall they can't have firearms either ENOUGH SAID! Axe-Fx for players.. "pO0DS" and "eLVEvn rAWK" for the tiny ones whose nuts haven't dropped yet..and can't afford grownup toys.

  • @brymacbluesband Cost a lot more too...

  • WTF??? They advertise that thing and we actually didn't hear it at all! They're only bla bla bla bla oh what a great effects processing system and hyper-realistic guitar amp and what a beautifiul this and that!!

stop talking and let us hear the fucking thing!!!

  • I agree! they didn't play anything for us to hear... call me crazy but I'm not buying it if I can't listen to it!

  • If you have a tube amp head, Axetrak Isolation Cabinet is the best home recording solution. It's an mic'ed isolated cabinet, so you plug your head to the cabinet, and the cabinet has an XLR output

  • Wait till these folks discover the Fractal Audio Axe-FX. It wipes the floor with Eleven. Or with anything else for that matter, including some of the original amps it's supposed to model.

  • Jeez. Not ONE example of any of those "artists" playing tones and instead the same "This is going to change everything" BS every other product retailer users? Great job guys... *sigh*

  • Well kids, the deal is: would you buy a "real tube amp" if you NEED something like a Eleven Rack?

    They are just DIFFERENT.

    Stop with bullshit.

    Cabaços....

  • Hahah, James Michael's "OHHH YES" was so fake. What do you expect from this guy? He has endorsed Eleven plugin

  • From what I gather, Axe FX is twice the price, doesn't handle direct recording to PC, work with Pro Tools, save dry tracks and info, or sound THAT much different. There's only so much you can do with a sim before your next upgrade should be tube heads, analog racks, and hardware mixers.

For $2000, you could have this AND Eventide Anthology (which works with this). Beat that.

  • Hardware looks better than Axe FX!! But Axe FX sounds way better!

  • Spending $2000 in an amp simulator is dumb. If you have $2000 for the Axe Fox you buy a nice tube amp

  • $2000 for one decent Amp vs. $2000 for over two to three dozen fantastic sounding Amp simulations! Which is better for the money? it's not a dumb choice to have more than one.

  • It's like, I have the money for a Van Gogh painting but I prefer 12 replicas.

  • Who needs a Van Gough to play guitar and make music? every recording artist will need more sounds than a freakin' Van Gough.

  • What's better? Recording with a $3000 Gibson Les paul, or recording with 12 $300 chinese crappy guitars

  • Difference is? who's playing the Guitar.. price doesn't matter if guitar player suck.

  • Difference is that in a $3000 guitar, you are always on tune in every fret. In a $300 guitar, the frets are not well placed and when you reach higher frets you sound like shit.

  • Yeah like those replica's that sell over 3 gran, beat up fret buzzed! price does'nt matter especially if the guitar player sucks!

  • simply not true! I played a lot of €3000 Les Pauls and many of them were bullshit!

  • honestly...probably the chinese guitar...if the 12 are picked at random...1 should be decent...as for the les paul? the quality is more than likely crap

Ill take a $500 korean PRS over a 3000$ LP any day

  • Well I wish you luck with the Korean PRS, if you like sounding detuned in high frets it's not my problem.

When you play a crappy guitar and you play fret 12 or o above and you sound like shit is when you think about "I could have saved $500 more)

  • the sound is in your hands, if u're good, u're good with any kind of gear, cheap or top of the line.

  • What kills me is how these guys act like they have never heard of the Axe-FX before and that this is something extrodinary...

  • well kidd, the Axe-FX sounds good.. but it doesn't have the built-in re-amping solution, and you can't embed the Axe-FX settings into the audio files you've recorded from it... both of which you have with the Eleven Rack. that's what they are on about when they speak of the uniqueness of the Eleven Rack.

Line6 rack units do have direct out that you can record for re-amping purposes though, and for all i know so does the Axe-FX... but not as elegantly integrated as the Eleven Rack.

  • having said all that, the jury's still out for me on whether or not the Eleven Rack can stand up to either of it's previously mentioned competitors tone-wise.

  • Well, the Eleven Rack is an audio interface too, and a DSP processor for the eleven Plugin.

With the price of an Axe-FX ($2000) you buy a real tube amp

  • yes, of course, but only 1!

  • @kidd94 This will become more popular than the axe fx, there's a lot of good stuff out there. You can do a lot more with this in the studio, but depends on what your goals are. You pretty much have to add something to make each one sound good (a special cabinet that HELPS the sound? Wont see any Eleven Rack users with that)...why not start out with something half the price and buy some preamps and effects and beef up your audio workstation and for the same $ and superior outcome.
