My father was taken prisoner in Madrid Range on 1939, being 17. He was in a camp in Valladolid, everyday there were tortures and "sacas" (shootings), then he was sent to the jail and after that 2 years more to military service in Africa. But he was lucky: my mother´s dad (just a low member of a trade union) was dead by tortures and his body never appeared. Just his blood full clothes.

Yes that might be true in part. As long as I know the soviets offered and were the only ones to help the spanish revolution but, because they wanted them to adhere to the communist countries. Once the spanish said no (cause communism is a dictatorship) the soviets here betrayed the spanish anarchy movement from the inside, so they finally helped the fascist dictatorship of Franco to get to power. Anarchy was a threat to any form of government, specially with the dictatorship-fever of the epoche

In a time of war, you take whatever allies you can. You sort them out later, you dont withhold arms from the very people who could help you win against fascism. The CNT/FAI accounted for approximately 1.5 million people. Withholding arms from them is the biggest mistake the Republican side made.

no, there simply were not mass atrocities on the side of the anarchists. Most of their violence was in general strikes, riots, political assassinations, and self-defense from the obstructive Republican government. Enrique Lister, member of the PCE, said that he "would shoot all the anarchists he had to". Spain got the first ever 8 hour work week as a result of the 1919 general strike. Members of the CNT and POUM were called "fascists" by communist newpapers. George Orwell fought for the POUM.

Approximately 60,000 Jews escaped Nazi-occupied Europe through Spain, oftentimes with the active cooperation of the Spanish diplomatic service. Jews that could reach a Spanish embassy were given Spanish passports and valid travel documents across Europe to Spain. They got to ride in passenger trains up to the Spanish/French border.
These operations were approved by Francisco Franco.
Spain under Franco saved more Jews than any other country during the war.

The Blue Division was a volunteer division sent to fight COMMUNISM. Communism had caused a great deal of harm to Spanish society, and the Blue Division was Franco's revenge. The Blue Division conducted itself with honor throughout the war and was NEVER implicated in ANY wartime atrocities. Even the Soviets recognized this fact and treated Spanish prisoners well.

The only Republicans sent to the camps were those that tried to use southern France as a staging ground for guerilla warfare in northern Spain.
The bombing of Guernica was justified. Guernica was the center of a Basque separatist movement. On the day that the city was bombed, the Basque parliament was meeting to declare independence from Spain. Spain's honor called for the annihilation of the Basque leadership.

your missing the larger point. no bombing is ever necessary. the duly elected republic was a coalition of conflicting political ideologies. they agreed to give the basques limited autonomy. that was part of the democratic process. franco was simply a unilateral selfish dictator. yes he saved the church from communism,but gave them fascism. i dont know how thats better. had the republic won it is unlikely that it would be communist since they were a minority of 15percent by the wars end.

My father was taken prisoner in Madrid Range on 1939, being 17. He was in a camp in Valladolid, everyday there were tortures and "sacas" (shootings), then he was sent to the jail and after that 2 years more to military service in Africa. But he was lucky: my mother´s dad (just a low member of a trade union) was dead by tortures and his body never appeared. Just his blood full clothes.
