  • no martial art is 'better' than another

  • I agree to that.....

  • @Honor1104 why do you say that?

  • @Honor1104 No martial art is better than another? Well if we're talking about defending yourself then there are martial arts that are better than others... As far as beauty... then that's subjective...

  • Thanks for posting this video.

  • Wow, that staff looks quite heavy. Very strong and skillfull.

  • Traditional weapon arts such as Silambam and Kobujutsu/Kobudo use weapons made out of wood or bamboo unlike the weapons mostly being used in the Sport Martial Arts.

  • I never seen Silambam before, it's a very amazing weapons art.

  • and we must not forget that all Chinese MArtial Arts came eventually from India ! ;-) credit to whom it deserves ;-)

    greetz

    g

  • @g888 silambam started in tamil nadu

  • @g888 guess wat ? cheq out de new movie '7 am arivu' relesing this diwali... your words are absolute truth and de plot of de movie ;)

  • to finish this ! what some find higly interesting is not so for others ! if one does not like what one sees : he can do 2 things :

turn around and walk away ... or speak up his mind. i think we should respect both choises ;-)

by putting stuff on the internet we accept both of those option i guess ? no?

:-) finally : i greatly respect the discipline of training hard like the guy in this video !

    cheers

    g !

  • sorry to see you have taken this personally instead of wondering why anyone might find this not so interesting ! ? but sure i will never understand anything only because i have a different skin ... Think twice my friend ;-) and doubt those who only pad you on the back !

  • I beg ur pardon for the racial remarks, but I still stick to the point, asian martial arts are not a show business art, further I didn't take it personally but it is not ease for a person who came from another atmosphere to understand whole displine of the art, whether it is kalari Payat, Silambam, Taekwondo, Tai chi, Wushu, Karate, Silat or Kali.

By spending few years in asia will never be sufficient to earn the art, it is impregnated with living style, culture, tradition, religion and ethics.

  • e.g there are so many people from west travel to asia learn all sort of arts with a minimal cost, (infact in our asian tradition no one can pay the fees for learning a fine art) it will only redeemed by adhere the truth ethics, displine, self control (spritually) and obediance to the masters and endowe it to the next generation.

once the learn hear the will start to sell in west as a product and grading it into certi,..diplo..

  • thats why u or the vast foreigners will never understand or value a fine arts, u can't prejudge someone's ability with this few minute clips.

now to your question, @who is that anyone might find this is not so interesting" r u representing everyone, off course not!! instead u r being stereotype and narrow minded, it is a diasgrace 4 your true asian master who endow this wushu art to u or fail 2 teach da ethics.

Secondly u r ignorant about other arts n giving respect and encouragement.

  • Thirdly, my dear blood brother, u will never understand asian arts not b'coz of ur skin but instead of da simple bred up mentality of ethics of adopting da asian martial arts,

Fourthly, I am absolutely agree with ur comment of "Pad..think twice", In our martial art da masters/sifus/gurus will never praise neither hurt others feeling self esteem, instead they give us positive encouragement or a booster. Not labelling or patronising (which is not a true asian martial art

    tradition)

  • Infact I have nothing to do with da above martial art, but I know extensively about this art, I learned Taekwondo n later adopted Kalari Payat, but da way I look into da above art is different from non martial art practitioner,if u were a non practitioner I would ve disregard ur comment but when I read ur profile, I felt that u r ignorant

last but not least, tell how many poor children that u teach for free, that makes the different between us n u.

"So..Boring" b'coz of being an ignorant.

  • again please pardon for any of my comments that would have hurt your feelings, which solely not my intention

  • and do you have a baker and a grossery shop that makes delivers your food for free? or do you live of air and cosmic energy ?? :-)

  • maybe i was not realising that feelings would so easily be hurt? or may my comment have touched a painfull subconsious knowledge ... there is a saying : only the .... hurts ;-) could it be true? ;-)

  • who says i'm a foreigner by the way? ;-)

  • brilliant

  • waiting eagerly for your kuthuvarsai clips.
