And i never actually tried reading it. Then one day my teacher said we had to read our books for and hour and so I grabbed the book and tried it out. It was amazing. I cant believe i judge this book. • I just finished it... and WOW. It was very different from what I expected. I didn't expect it to be so deep and emotional. I may do a review on my reading channel. It is hard though because I don't want to spoil anything.

  • Yay! Im so glad your enjoying his novels so far :D

  • @nickyinwonderland Me too! Have you read this one? :)

  • @thereadables Sadly no ): I plan on reading this one soon though! :D

  • Yeah, Looking For Alaska is wonderful. I LOVED Pudge's essay at the end. It was just the perfect way to end a book.

Also, always watch for the last lines of John Green's books, because DAMN he knows how to end a novel. I don't mean like the wrap-up (which is also good), but he always just nails that perfect last line.

Oh, and John has an unpublished zombie apocolypse novella that he wrote for charity. You can search the internet for it, or I can send you a copy if you want :D

  • @jaytummy Agreed! Throughout the book I thought John's writing was just...amazing. Insightful also.

I will definitely check it out! It sounds so awesome :D

  • I have heard so much about John Green and his books I am yet to actually pick up one, but I might start and put it on my wishlist. I am always wanting to read new authors. I agree with your opinions on contemporary fiction.

  • @sadomirth Definitely one of my favourite authors now just by reading this book :D Check this one out, it's great!

  • I cried so much after reading looking for Alaska and people were giving me so many weird looks because I was out in public! I wrote so many quotes from that book on a sticky note and it drove me crazy. An abundance of katherines Is incredibly hilarious!! How come you didn't pick up LET IT SNOW?

My favorite quote from the book:

"So I collapsed on the bottom bunk thinking that If people were rain I was driZzle and she was a hurricane"

  • @Malyza884 Definitely an emotional, intense read. I can't wait to check out An Abundance of Katherines! :)

I review one book a week, so I could only pick out 4 books this month >__<

Definitely an example of his poetic brilliance :)

  • It's one of my favorite books of all time. I'm so glad you liked it!

  • @angellmarlene :D Thanks so much! I do hope you enjoy it, it's amazing :)

  • I'm glad you enjoyed it :) I don't know why I didn't find it interesting but glad you did. The thing I did love about the book was the fact that there was a character named Lara there are few characters in books/movies/tv with my name and when you were talking about her I said Thank you in my head haha I dunno why but you were saying so many nice things about her that I felt the need to.

Love the review as always :)

  • @LaraProductionsxx Thank you!!

lol Lara's UNITE! XD This is my first Lara, and she's a really sweet character in the book ^__^

  • Made of awesome review, Priscilla! I'm so happy you loved it! Let's discuss!!!! Message me everything you thought! How'd you react when you figured out what Before and After were?

  • "It blew my mind, melted my face" x'D HAHA!! Yes, I agree. My face was thoroughly melted.

I once wrote this essay for school about Looking for Alaska, and I probably spent most of the time gushing about how awesome it was.

    Anyway, John Green! Yey!

It'll really be fun seeing if I won this non-bet or not ;D You never know!!

  • @MaxieMagyx lol That's awesome! There's so much in this book to talk about, definitely a great read for school :D

XD Yes, we will see! This book definitely set the bar high... A more intense face melter than this one?! That would be amazing .___.

  • I'm sold! I'm picking it up from the library the next time I go! :)

  • @tinpanalley101 It's so good! Definitely :D

  • I'm still trying to trudge through the Before part since last year when I had to return it because of the pages missing.

  • @tappentiggerer Definitely give it another go ^^ I loved the Before! I thought there was great insight into these characters and who they were :)

  • I know what you mean : ) I am so glad that you loved it ,too.I felt like the book was very philosophical , sounds very silly but it felt like that for me when I read it.

  • @maybekarly I agree! The book had layers to it I was expecting, which was great ^__^
