There's not enough room for a huge ported box in there. He could get the same SPL I'm sure with half the woofers in a ported setup, and even better walled off, BUT... I bet this system sounds WAY more musical and cleaner than the typical walled/ported one note wonders.

I have a sealed box with 2 12'' Type R's, and even though they are toys compared to some of the stuff out there, I can still flex windows... not my truck windows either. Check out my window shake vid. 2 12's and 1000 watts.

I felt the need to post something b/c contrary to belief an 18 or 15 can not put out the spl that a 10 or 12 could b/c no matter what you do they dont have the rigidty(meaning the cone will distort and cancel the bass waves. and yes I know it is simple physics that 15 or 18 will move more air b/c it is bigger but they would have to make one out of titanium with strength welds to keep it from warping.

if you were to get 4 15" BTL'S  in the back of that bitch, it would be 3 times as loud as this is. Just my opinion. I love 10's....cause I got them in my ride, but if you want really loud spl, then go 15" or 18" btls.
