Aye lad,we were lucky the support band never showed up. Lou was saying they flipped a coin backstage to see who'd play an acoustic set and he lost!!!

I just discovered Lou Barlow coz I downloaded and watched the movie 'Session 9' and was fascinated by the closing credits song 'Chokechain'. Took me a lot of googling to find out it was by Lou Barlow. I rate that song in my top ten of all time now, and I know an awful lot of good music.

amazing... good job aoifebrady on your request! I said hi to lou when i saw him outside the koko in camden before Sebadoh's bubble and scrape gig (which was fucking great by the way)... didn't have the guts to chat to him properly though lol...i love Not A Friend in its acoustic form, so beautiful

I basically ended up talking to him from the stage cos no one knew the Sebadoh songs, and when he was singing Together Or Alone I sang along, and he was like "You know this??!" and then I asked for Not A Friend!

You can actually hear me singing vaguely throughout the song!

Lol i know I'm gonna get a thumbs down for this but get over yourself; loads of people knew lou's stuff when he supported dino at the mean fiddler.

Tho I must admit he didn't play daykitty for me....

@BosleyDachs Well when he played at the Academy, people were talking over him and no one seemed to know who he was, and he even said something along the lines of "Should I even bother continuing?"... I wasn't trying to sound up myself, or make out as though I'm special in any way, I was just pretty excited to find this video because it recorded a really amazing moment in my life, that's all.

@BosleyDachs I've since met Lou a couple of times, he gave me a bunch of tickets and a backstage pass to hang out at the last Dino gig in Dublin... Should I get over myself for being excited about that, too?

i agree, i've seen dino 6 times but only once with lou.  by far better.... same with the old albums.... they're all good but with lou better
