Psychiatry is science; it is skeptical, rational, and is made up of the theories that are subjected to the grinding machine we call academia. Yes there are drug companies that try to make money. Yes there are irresponsible psychiatrists, but the foundation of helping other people has never left. I've known many a person who have had new chances at life because of the psychological sciences. I know little of scientology, but what I do know is that it is not grounded in logical thought.

psychiatry is not a science its a pseudoscience based on theories. theories isnt science. i know nobody helped by psychiatry. psychiatry has killed or crippled every human they've touched. psychology is a pseudoscience which is the same fraud psychiatrists study. Biology is science not psychology/psychiatry.

Psychology on the other hand is purely therapeutic and is based human behavioral patterns, which again, falls back on the biological benefits of relieving stress, grief and other mental toxins.

Each one of these are serious enough to be weary of the source. Then when you look at the complete lack of documents written during Jesus' lifetime that refer to him it becomes even more obvious. They are a racist radical political group that could turn very quickly into a terrorist organization if not kept in check. And to say Al Quaeda an army is also wrong, an army by its definition is desingned for land combat, Al Queda is organised to kill civilians, not to face its enemies in armed conflict. A loose group of poorly armed and trained fighters are not an army. Also they do not represent Islam, every top Islamic scholar condemns them. Their claim to be Muslim does not change this.

To say that they don't would be unwise and, frankly, dangerous. Also, Al Quaeda do believe that they represent Islam. They have stated it MANY times. IF you are fighting for a cause, then you believe you represent it. There is a difference, but its a small one.
