the thing is.... in '95 and such when the big online boom happened, most all websites were all text based with 1 or 2 graphics. NO flash. NO java. NO streaming. it was all about "Information" so that's why dial-up can't work now, because now the internet is about entertainment. that's why its takes 5 years to load a page, all the animations, video, scripts, and such. it just takes years to load all that crap now. back then we didn't have it. ah well.

When I'm on our wireless connection, I get 54.0 Mbps as the fastest speed, and on our hard-wired connection, we get 100.0 Mbps. All I can say is: "It's really fast!"

You're an idiot. It was a 28kbs connection, connecting to a site meant for 56kb at the minimum. It's not the computer, it's the connection. The fact that the browser opened up in less than a second obviously shows that the computer wasn't bad. He was talking on a cell phone by the ways. Get with the times. And everybody has had dialup at one point. Everybody knows it isn't fine at all.
dial up is expensive too its like 24 dollars a month for some dial up isps when you could get dsl which lowest speed is 25x faster than dial up for 15 dollars a month
First of all that was 6 months ago why are you going to reply to it. Second of all AOL has been free for 1 year and a half. At the time of my post there was multiple dial up companies at $25 dollars a month.
