awesome videos mt moon is a great beginner point to getting used to tunnels remember to get the dome fossile kabuto is wayy better the omistar. getting a geodude early on is also a smart idea

Clefairy and Clefable were actually really awesome to use back in the day. Plus if you want to do the Mew glitch, it'll help to have Clefairy or Jigglypuff to put it to sleep.
