  • michelle bachmen, this is part of your bible.

  • I'm not sure if I should like this or not...

  • i was walking around the mall looking at everyone and thinking, most of the people in here will not be going to heaven, and thats their own fault.people say they will beliv what they see, can you see the wind? no but we can feel it,and I can feel Gods love,i can see everything I beliv He created.its called faith people.what would this world be like if there was no love at all. everything He said was going to happen has so far. so be ready

  • @1alyssanoel We can demonstrate wind, but can we demonstrate that there is a god? Your analogy just failed.

  • This was a sad movie and an inspiration nonetheless but God isn't real.

  • cont2... following? Could you torture someone? If no, then what is it that stops you? Ask yourself, under what conditions could you be able to torture someone? I could not do it even if someone had a gun to my head. Read about the Milgram experiment. It's interesting what we, as a species, can do to others when we don't take personal responsibility for our actions. "We were just following orders!" or "They're not one of us" is a desensitization to the actions and the victim's suffering.

  • cont1... gauged accordingly. Anyone who can sit and watch violence and feel comfortable when doing so has either been extremely desensitized by over-exposure to violence or altered mental perspective that justifies or glorifies the horror that should be felt. Take the Spanish Inquisition... the tortures involved were horrendous but justification of "saving souls" or "death to infidels" reduced the horror the torturers should have felt. What about prisoner torture? Ask yourself the ... cont2

  • I agree but you would not expose children to that violence in the rationale of "Let's see what actually happened to the guy to 'died' for your sins". Does it aid the children in any way? Desensitivity to something means to lose a feeling towards it, a diminishment of mental acknowledgement to the intensity or even meaning of the thing in question. Your reaction to an atrocity should be appropriate to the crime. Exposure to this violence, whether children or adults, must be heeded and...cont1

  • Ouch

  • What is the morality of watching such a barbaric act? This is one of the most disgusting and morally depraved movies ever made. To hide behind the "lesson to be learned" and "we must remember" statements are no excuse to expose anyone to extreme torturous scenes as this movie creates. I have heard that people have taken their children to see this movie. "If children learn to devalue others, they can devalue anyone, including their parents!" Does this ring true for any of you who watch this?

  • @BigDiamondCutter Morality is an ephemeral value.

  • @VipericVampire It certainly appears so. It is amazing to me how so many people can say moral things but not perform the actions demanded by those morals. I even am guilty sometimes of it myself. I want to help someone in need but I have been guilty of not assisting a homeless person on the street. I have helped but not as often as I should. I do not give money but I offer to buy food and anything else they may need. I feel the sorrow of those suffering and wish to help.

  • @BigDiamondCutter And how does helping someone in a distressed situation necessarily fit into morality? I would say it is altruism, the term scientists generally use for it.

There is no use in subscribing to morals. They constantly evolve. And morality itself is losing its place within secular, materialist societies.

  • @VipericVampire I think altruism would simply be a subset of qualities in what we would call morality. I would follow, for reasonable reasons, a code of morality that would include helping others less fortunate than myself, not because some divine spirit in the sky dictates that I have to, but I can place myself in the sufferers place and feel myself less than I am now. Over millions of years, altruism has evolved in us and our secular moral philosophy too as you have stated.

  • @BigDiamondCutter Fair enough, but why would you let morality dictate our ability to watch graphic scenes of violence in film?

  • @VipericVampire As Plato said, you feed your mind the qualities that you want to imbue into yourself. He said this in a more spiritual manner but it is essentially this. If you wish to make someone a violent person, show them plenty of violence. It will desensitize them to violence and therefore make violence more acceptable. I understand the argument that adults should be allowed to watch anything they wish but if they choose to watch violence, you must question their upbringing to... cont1

  • @VipericVampire cont1... desire to watch it. The argument that all adults are mature enough to decide for themselves is sadly, a fallacy. There are plenty of immature adults. I do not seek to impose my personal morality on others simply because I would not want them to do the same to me. This movie is so sickening that to not repel in horror at the multitude of scenes depicting the most inhumane torture shows a remarkable lack to compassion towards others. What if it was a different...cont2

  • @VipericVampire cont2... person but in the same scene. What would your reaction be? If it wasn't for the religious perspective of this story desensitizing the audience to the agony of a tortured individual... could you watch this? What if you were truly there at a real life crucification of an ordinary criminal, could you watch? If yes, then question why you do not turn away in horror. Also, the age old "the Jews killed Jesus" fire is really flamed again. After watching, how do you...cont3

  • @VipericVampire feel about them. Their depiction is of selfish, self-righteous, and blood-thirsty people who feel no remorse or guilt when sending the audience's saviour, the best of men, to die. As I have said before, Jews are people like the rest of us. Some are good, some are bad, just like everyone else. Mel really focused on making them look really heartless. It is a question that seriously must be asked.

  • @BigDiamondCutter I understand. I wouldn't turn away from any scene of violence, even committed in my face. The internet has left me desensitized to anything you can imagine. Is it good? Well, it certainly has made me stronger when dealing with such situations, like a soldier or doctor is, but it does not make me tolerate it. There is a difference between accepting violence in the arts than in reality, which is atrocious. I believe that movies feed people's need for brutality.

  • @BigDiamondCutter And, mind you, that is much better than having to satisfy them in reality, like they do with matadors or gladiators or sacrifices to the gods. This need for violence has taken a virtual form.

As for the movie itself, I believe Gibson was trying to show the suffering of Jesus and, yes, demonize the Jews for wanting him to go through this all. There is an element of sacrifice, suffering and martyrdom in Xianity, and this does it justice.

  • @BigDiamondCutter Finally, there are plently of non-Jesus-related movies that portray extreme scenes of violence, which makes this look like nothing, like gore movies. Just think of Hostel, which is very popular.

Just remember: being desensitized to violence does not necessarily equate to wanting it happen IRL.

  • I don't know but, the Israelites of that times were unconsiderable with Jesus. I hope that all those Israelites who sold him, including the Romans and the Pharisees are burning in the Hell with Satan right now for an eternity. I don't feel hate for the Israelites of the modern times, of course not, but for the Israelites of that times. But, besides that, God bless all of us and God bless the Holy Land and all the people in the world, no matter if the person believes or not in God.

  • @MrSalsa11 you are in idiot to think that this fairy tale is true

  • No matter the time or age, one must remember why Jesus is our Messiah...

He showed us the example of a perfect being. And that might be something that seems like its taken for granted but it is extremely important that we remember that the perfect being is the one who lives and dies for his faith in God.

  • @DiseasedMoss you are delusional for believing this tripe. take some medication or something. You have been brainwashed.

  • @ericessable

No, YOU'VE been brainwashed by our now atheistic and immoral great system called "society". I can only hope that you're just being a very sad troll, but either way you're just another pathetic scumbag self-convinced of his own superiority by denying the ever-obvious existence of God, in favor of your own power. That's all atheists ever strive for, just to be a "stronger" being by falling into the delusion that a mighty a being as God cannot exist. YOU have delusions.

  • wow it's so different watching it then hearing it.when you hear about all he suffered it doesnt sound as bad you say, oh i would have done that if i was saving everyone. but when you watch it you say OH MY GOSH i could have never done that i can't believe how much he suffered for people he doesn't even know! anyone who thinks this is funny is sick. I am speechless. it is unfathimable. and to think this actually happened and this isn't some movie. i can't wait to kick satans..............butt

  • @breckdav1 you are insane. God and Satan were created by humans.

  • @ericessable i wasnt trying to create any arguements i was just sharing my feelings. you dont have to believe it.

  • GOD and JESUS is GOOD

  • @gamepro1239 While you were drooling over your bible you missed some grammar lessons. Let me fix your statement for you. 'God and Jesus are good.'

But just to let you know - they are both figments of your delusional imagination.

  • thank you for the cross Lord..you are my savior and my God..i'm sorry for all my sin..i believe in you..

  • i cannot watch this :( i really i cant

  • Hit him again! Hit him again! Bastard had it coming.

  • @marlowe2 your sick. you're the one who had it coming, but he took it all FOR YOU . . . and now all you can do is laugh.

  • @marlowe2

    r u fucking sick !

    or just retARDED ?

  • I should of died......Not him...

  • I know Jesus was supposedly the son of god , but no human could take this kind of whipping then get a new thorn hat , then carry a big ass cross up a hill , then get cruxified on it.Maybe because im an atheist Im more of a practical realist . He wouldnt of left that whipping courtyard alive unless he was on some super steroids and pain killers , which were not invented yet.

  • @Slowyslow the reason He didn't die from this is because he didn't have sin in him. He died on the cross because that is when God put the worlds sin upon Him and God turned away.

  • I am a christian and believe that Jesus is my savior. Thank for posting this video. It gave me a real big boner.

  • Torture Porn. You people are disgusting.

  • 3:50 GET OVER HERE. flawless victory.

  • Comment removed

  • I think South Park portrayed this best:

This movie is torture porn and Mel Gibson is out of his damn mind.

  • only God knows what really happened...but whatever it is, Jesus doesn't deserve such inhumane treatment.. tears keep falling on my cheeks... let us not forget what Jesus did for us...

  • @twins224 you are insane to believe that his is in anyway true

  • @twins224 Just a book, nothing more. Don't forget what Goku did for us also. God is a imagination, therefore he doesn't know anything bu only to the originator imaginations.

  • Man I feel regret that I have ever sinned because our Jesus had to suffer and let alone die. FOR US. And we sin practically everyday. Dear Jesus , Thank you. We all are thankful , even ones who don't know it yet. We love you. From your followers.

  • @allisongirlfriend

    AMEN !

  • @allisongirlfriend you are insane for believing in this drivel

  • @ericessable I'm completely sane. You're insane for believing any other crap that you do if it isn't that Jesus, the son of God, died for us. You'll regret it when you're in Hell. >.>

  • @allisongirlfriend Sin for the burden of "Jesus Christ" is quite wishful thinking, learn to understand and reason your choice, but not to rely on imaginations.

  • @PimpingRice You need to learn to understand that I believe what I want and not what some idiot tells me.

    Please and thanks you.

  • @allisongirlfriend Yes and I respect that, but please refrain yourself from using hateful words that are unnecessary. All I'm trying to say is that one belief system, especially religion, does and cannot always lead truth. Nobody knows how the earth started, period!

  • @PimpingRice I wouldn't say "nobody."

  • @allisongirlfriend What word would've you said. And please do provide evidence.

  • @PimpingRice ? 1.) What are you talking about eith the first sentence? 2.) Evidence is invalid, but it's called beliefs. All I said was I wouldn't say nobody. Plus, you have no evidence that "nobody" knows how the world started. With what I believe in, I could think of a few.

  • @allisongirlfriend 1.) Do you not understand English? 2.) If you think evidence is invalid then the path way to truth is invalid. Your implying that courts wouldn't need evidence to see who is guilty and to just believe who ever they wish to believe is. Therefore you have contradicted yourself by saying that I need evidence to, when you clearly stated we don't need evidence, providing my claim. My claim is a premise of "I do not know" in which I really don't need any evidence.

  • @PimpingRice Do YOU not understand english? I said I didn't understand what you were saying, so calm your fucking tits, k? And, if you don't understand that there is no evidence but it's what I believem you must be stupid -.- You have no evidence that this DIDN'Y happen, k? >.>

  • @allisongirlfriend Exactly, the reason why I ask again, do you understand English? If you knew what I was talking about, you wouldn't need to ask what I was saying. Failed number 1! Calm my tits? LOL Just read your comment and mines. Failed number 2! I completely understand that it is your belief, but do YOU understand that your belief has contradicted so many things, the burden of proof lies with you. The only evidence I can present is that there is no evidence of a creator.

  • @PimpingRice The reason is you had two sentences, one out of two I understood. I even told you I didn't understand the first one -.- And yes, chill ur tits. You just need to calm your ass down. I'm done with this, we don't need to argue with people we'll never know or any less meet.

  • @allisongirlfriend You don't understand simple English, OK you admit it I'm fine with that as long as you acknowledge it. And seems like you don't seem to understand the context of what I am trying to say about your quote "calm/chill your tits". Your text perceive ignorance and animosity while mines is just questions, who is the real psycho? Exactly, so calm down little guy. Your desperate attempt to end also failed as well.

I rest my case, ignorance is what holds you down.

  • @PimpingRice I never had to admit anything. I didn't agree or disagree, and I'm not "little guy." And, you can't tell me anything about ignorance when the whole reason this started is because you started shit with me about what I believed in. Nobody even mentioned anything about a psycho, honestly, neither of us are psycho. You didn't rest your case, because you know what? You're bringing up things that were never even mentioned. So please, "chill ur tits."

  • @allisongirlfriend Whoa whoa chillax, you've taken facts upon the heart. I know it hurts you, but like hey say the truth always hurt. Did I said that you need to agree to anything? All I did was asked a question and you failed to comply yet you insist on being ignorant. Your ego has drowned you, if you were wise you would feel how miserable you are out of desperation trying to save yourself. lol

I rest mines and your case as well.May life bless you.

  • @PimpingRice I'm perfectly fine, thank you. I've taken nothing to heart. It just bugs me when people have thick skulls -.- I seem to be a hypocrite when I say that, but hey. What can you do? I'm not wise, I admit that. But it doesn't phase me. But I will stand up for what I feel, that's why I lash out >.> You didn't ask that, oh well.

  • @allisongirlfriend It's all a part of ego. Once you learn to let go of ego or ambitions, you overcome ignorance. To stand for what you believe, I have no problem, but what comes with it is ignorance when it defies other realities. You soon tend to believe you overcome all and that your answer is correct, whether it is or not. Learn philosophy my friend! It gives you wisdom. Search it on youtube, but I recommend take philosophy classes.

  • @PimpingRice *believe in

  • I'm pretty sure you know what OMG means, Oh my God..stop using God's name in vain!

  • OMG. Lord i'm so sorry :(( pls. forgive me , i beg you stop doing this i <3 you .

  • Jesus Christ is my one and only Saviour. And he always will be. This movie has helped me in so many ways and I'm not afraid to admit that. This is an amazing movie that has helped so many find there way.

  • The Passion 2. This time it's for real!

  • وهو ليس رسول الله، وهو ماسانجر الله ملك الملوك... أوميغا وألفا من تلك التي كانت التي وهو القادمة.... الله لا الله.

  • hun scum

  • its still happening God help the Palestinian people

  • مزقوا جسده الطاهر! أولئك الأشرار! عليك السلام يا رسول الله يا عيسى بن مريم يا روح القدس.

  • Fuckkkk this is harsh

  • did anyone else cry while watching this....

  • @melxmusicxlover Me OMG I feel like i don't wanna say any word that makes anyone bad . -.-"

  • Man why didnt The huns invaded rome now? so they would realise what have they done?

  • The longer that jesus christ takes to return to earth the more people are going to doubt that he ever existed. And if he did return unless he performed a miracle he would be taken to a psychiatric hospital or killed. I mean for the creator of the universe WHY cant he come down to earth and say hello sometime?

  • I have had he same thoughts, but the fact that we don't understand doesn't mean that God isn't talking to us. We hear things every day that we don't understand. It is pretty arrogant for us to think we can understand all that God is trying to tell us when we can't understand what is right in front of our faces.

  • wtfs up with the deformed toddler at 8:04 i really want an answer

  • 8:06

    Dat rape face.

  • Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. 1John 4:15

  • Jesus Christ is a false prophet.

  • Horrible movie.....it powders up christianity and makes it look good...I seriously wish mel gibson was executed for this....you people are so discusting.....fucking creatards with your hedrenaline junky...

  • @gerudgutierrez Disgusting*

  • @SlaughterTheFrail Yea sorry about that lol. DISGUSTING!

  • @gerudgutierrez Rather than "powdering up Christianity" this film is a fairly accurate,if graphic) portrayal of human nature at its worst when confronted with perfect goodness. It is an accurate representation of what the gospels tell us about Jesus' life and final hours. ALL have sinned and that is why it took such a horrendous sacrifice to redeem us. Jesus was God in the flesh, and both Old and New Testaments confirm who he was and why he came.

  • @skampydog1 I would never do this to anyone...this is rare for humans to act this way...btw you have no evidence for what you were saying...if you have the ordassity to say the old testaments prophecies are evidence for hoyyribly wrong...ever thought of made up story from the new testament to fulfill the falsehood of the old? No evidence means I dont believe it.

  • I doubt VERY SERIOUSLY that Jesus' hair was that long. He was a middle eastern Hebrew. He probably had a curly Jew-FRo like most Jews do.

And, he was probably shorter than that.

Mel Gibson couldn't get more Jewish people to play in this movie?

  • What is the meaning of this?? This is not a part 1 of this movie, why was this scene the beginning?

  • omg

  • Lord thank you for your sacrifice. Your death will not be in vain in my life. I can only imagine that it had to be worst then this. Because of the purpose on the cross. MY salvation. I personalize it because I'm grateful. I know what U have done for me and my family my Lord. You are the great I Am.Thank you for allowing me to witness your healing physically, mentally and emotionally. You are the God. MY closing my saying I love You so much my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Hallelujah.

  • Such agony and it was all for nothing. Look at who he died for and we thank him by profiting from wars building a prison in Cuba that house people without even a trial and worship celebirities. How many people have we allowed to die because of this phrase 'war on terror' THIS scene is terror to me and yet the term is just thrown around to justify our sins - sins he didnt die for. I wonder if he would have even bothered if he did exsist in this day and age...or if we would even bother to listen.

  • @zephonlucifer not all for nothing, he died for us

  • @welickass And look how we've repayed such sacrifice. With even less regard for each other than ever before and kill one another just because we can.

  • MEL GIBSON IS DAMNED TO HELL, WITH NO HOPE, DIE, YOU THIEVING PILE OF SHIT, GO SUCK OIL UP IN THE GULF, NOW DIE, SATAN IS COMING FOR YOU ,!!! THANK YOU JESUS,!!!

  • For a brilliant take on religion google Doe's Account.

  • Now, I've seen a lot of scary, gruesome things in the movies, but this is almost to a point where it's crossing the line. Love Mel Gibson--he's a wonderful actor and director--but I think he took this a bit too far. I'm a Catholic, I've read all about the passion of Christ, and I've seen a few films that have depicted these events. But never have I seen one that has so vividly and almost painfully captured the agony and emotion in this sequence of events.

  • agree

  • @dreamsofanovel: see what the dictionary say about AGONY. I think is very close to what Jesus endure.

  • apparently the word excruciating comes from the word crucify...

  • What is the guard saying . OOh tha Da Vinci! Da vinci.

  • @ghettodagga "dodici." Latin for "twelve."

  • where is the first scene of the movie? The full garden video in High Quality...

  • AAAAAG! Subtitles please! Thanks for uploading though.

  • I researched it. Its not true. Brought up the whole cast and crew and looked at the names of the actresses and searched them. They are actresses and that is it.

  • Only GOD can judge. Mel Gibson brought so many people to Jesus through this movie and that is ALL that matters. People need to see what Jesus endured for US, the sinners. This is the most accurate portrayal of what He went through for US. Do not let the enemy use you to divide and spread his lies.

  • i totally agree with you man. i mean i have been saved but i have been going through some stuff and blaming god. but now i watched this and starting crying out to jesus. jesus, i am yours.

  • Cry out to HIM!

  • you started believing in jesus again because of a movie?

  • dear friend you are absolutely right.most sacred heart of jesus may the whole world burn with love for you.

  • @Prncssmn7 No. I can judge. This is a pretty awesome splatterpunk torture porn scene. It didn't bring anyone to Jesus, but it sure made a lot of people laugh.

  • @marlowe2 How dare u. u better ask Jesus for ur forgiveness for wat u just said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • liannna that is a rumor and even if they were porn stars that means God spoke to them to do a good movie but its a rumor, it is true however that the devil was played by a woman

  • He was wounded for our transgressions....This is my body which is given for you....This is the blood of the New Covenant which is shed for many.

Just as I am without one plea....but that thy blood was shed for me....and that thou biddest me come to the...Oh Lamb of God I come.

  • :*( i love you so much my Jesus

  • Man MILLIONS of people were punished like this under the Roman Empire, you make it sound like noone was punished liked this. Theres nothing special about the suffering, sin is NOT inherited or a moveable object that his blood is taking off YOUR sins. That is a PAGAN tradition not a MONOTHEISTIC tradition.

  • it can be that millions were punished, but Christ wasn´t a simple man. he was the son of God, he was 100% human and 100% God. His blood is taking off our sins. that´s in a figurative sense. When God created the human, he gave freedom to us. But we chose bad things and w left God. He didn´t wanted to lose us, that´s why he sent his son to set us free from our sins. He gave his life for us and his suffering healed people. (isaiah 53)

  • he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.

  • If anyone can answer me: That man who had the piece of timber tied behind him to his arms was he one of the robbers or what was up with that?

And this is one of the most powerful versions of his death I've seen. It kicks me I couldn't see it in Theaters. T.T

  • if you can ask your question in french i can answer you :) because i'm not sure to understand your question....

  • I wish I could speak French, but I can't. T.T And I mean in front were two people with these beams tied behind them via their arms.

  • at 9:27, that was Dismas (or the good thief) it was tradition for the accused to carry the crossbeam, they were then nailed to it, and raised to position by ropes.

  • whats the language here?

  • It's one of these:

    Aramaic, Latin, or Hebrew

I don't know the languages that well so I cna't say which.

  • Its Latin, Romans spoke latin back in the day.

  • stupid gay people i wanna kill them so bad

  • And to this day, we still crusify Him. With our sins, spreading false prophet doctrine and our blashphome against God's son and what He stood for. Whom His father told us was coming. And yet there are so many that still wish not to listen. We all deserve this kind of death.

For those that are blind, I hope you wake up to the truth. The truth is in the Bible and only in the Bible. No other book or religion will save you. The Bible is all you need. Peace.

  • I´m sry but I just can´t believe you´re serious! don´t you listen to yourself? do you even realise what you´re saying?

  • @Mentillias fucking ignorant...

  • @legnalenja - Wow, that was so logical and reasonable. Genius. I'm reeling from your wit. (snicker)

  • @Mentillias your comentary is not very brilliant... you get sad because of that man 2000 years ago and cristian people dont care a damn about de poor people of today. Religion its a fraud... wake up

  • @legnalenja - You have no idea about my beliefs, my work with and for others, my own concern for the troubles of the world or really anything else about me. Also...your spelling is crap and you have the mental abilities of a 3 year old. Does your Mommy know you're on her computer? LOL

  • I love you Jesus...for all the pain he endured just for us!...YOu and Me!!
