I know what you mean a bit jeretidey, I certainly felt Poakley's meetings seemed less flowing, more planned. But I also know the songs have, on the whole, grown on me and lyrically there is a lot of depth. Still can't stand the cheesy synth though!
'we are the redeemed ' the best part of the song and for everyone else too was the simon brading song which included 'treasures come and treasures can go in a moment'
jeretidey, no offence intended but I think it depends on what your preferences are as far as worship is concerned.
Some people prefer more reflective, intimate songs, others anthemic, driving songs (i.e. 'We Shine').
I do agree with you in part though I would struggle worshipping with this song as well, but at the end of the day, it's not about whether we like the songs or not, it's ultimately for Jesus, about Him and to Him.
i hated this song. its ruined the worship for me and many others - he was singing it as a performance to men, like a gig or sumat, it wasn't worship for many, many, many of the young guys and girls there. Terrible, terrible, terrible stuff.

@2tylerpitts Well, it says that the album of the same name came out in 2007. So it's around 2007/2008.
I like either Paul or Steve, they are both great versions!
