Full barre is always 1st finger but half barre is often done with 2 and 3, and rarely even 4...Williams plays Barrios with such deceptive ease, smoooth tremolos and great passion... Maybe Segovia did not like Barrios because he could not play him at this standard...Viva Williams...

@airedezamba barre is always with fst finger...if it wasn't then there is no point  because u would not be able to use more than 3 fingers and barre is used to play 6- strings at once...but anyway read sor's monoscrypt about guitar...

@Grivendal  it's very common to get half barres on fingers other than your index. I've seen second finger and pinky finger used several times.
