first time watching this love me some David saw u in dc and aint nothing changed but u still got stamina and poise and still cute God I Love me some David
Well they made a right dogs dinner of that. They had a habit of butchering their tunes live. So much so that I stopped seeing them as I never knew which Pulse was going to show up. The studio stuff was great tho`.
I tell you this song has an intense vibe. I'm an old white guy and this makes me want to start a reggae band. this is the vibe I'm looking for. Jah Bless Steel Pulse!

This has to be one of my favorite reggae songs of all time...the syncopated opening alone makes it worthy, and then there's the rest of the song and harmonies and the lyrics and political purpose...a fine band and a fine song. I'm so glad THIS performance from Reggae Sunsplash is on the web.
This tune is available on an album entitled: Reggae Sunpslash 81, A tribute to Bob Marley. The set also features artists like Third World, Gregory Isaacs, Eek a Mouse, Black Uhuru, Dennis Brown, The Mighty Diamonds.....great set...its available online at all the usual outlets...

Whether 1978 or 2010, Tories + recession = powerful music. Hope the new black protest music is as hard-hitting as this was…
