@FancyFancYFAnCYFaNCY actually thats not true at all, I'm probably moving there in about 2 months and im 16 and guess what. I probably gonna be different than all the others, and I dont mean different as in music hobbys etc. I used to do Cannibis which was like 2 years ago but I got bored of it. So my point, if I do move there im not gonna be like all the drug abusers and alcohlics so mabye you shouldn't profile. So hop off
I am going to watch this in about five minutes, as I am doing my final essay on Leslie Marmon Silk's 'Gardens in the Dunes', and after taking Professor Jesus Valle's Native American Lit class last semester through Los RIos School District, I see there is much to learn. Don't sell out to Western living. You deserve more. So much more.
What concerns me is the fact that the chief of the reserve at 20:00 is selling out to a Western way of Living. Isn't there danger that this might slowly transform the reserve into natives with a Western style of living? Sure, generating energy provides the reserves with economic security but how do you ensure the sustainable way of living that once was/is strongly embedded within Native heritage? If there is anyone willing to help me and get a clearer picture of this please out contact me.
Hey CPAC, why even bother make a buncha rez docs when you pretty much made them all the same. Try going to a reserve with an open mind a modicum of respect for other humans instead of writing the same script over and over. 1. Reserves are ghettos full of alcoholics and drug addicts. 2. Look at the indians in their pow wow GARB. Reserves are ppls home. Typical gov't propaganda keeping the INDIANS in their place.
