I agree dude. Damn the audience. I never need to see a band live to appreciate their music. I much prefer to hear the tune and not see the band as it's happening. The impact is much greater I think.
Reason why is b/c WMG owns the rights to ZZ Top's music. WMG is f'ing up our lives by trying to sue users who (according to WMG) are misusing their music.
Thanks for the post. ZZ Top is great, but this paticular song has a haunting quality. If you have ever been out late in west Texas, under the moon and stars with some Mescal under your belt, you would dig it even more.
@stevenk113 Billy Gibbons remixed the drums for all ZZ Top SixPack, f'ed it up IMO...the original versions on LP are way superior. Don't know what he was thinking(he wasn't).
@caryzia based on yours and other commentators' advice, I am buying the LP of Tejas so that I can hear these songs in their original, better, versions.

I'm not much of a ZZ Top fan (besides Sharp Dressed Man, of course), but I heard this song on Bones and it fit so perfectly with the scene that I laughed my head off. Good song. They sound great, but I can't stand most of their songs with stupid lyrics.
@spacegasp - this version is a remix from the "Six Pack" box set (first six records were remastered)- washy & full of reverb. I'll take the old, scratchy vinyl versions any day...
If you don't like seeing bands live, you suck at life...

@wheelfactor Well if i suck at life, you suck at reading. I never said anything about not liking live shows. I'm thoroughly offended.

Shame that this is the shite remastered remixed version that first surfaced on the awful 6 pack! Has anyone got the original?

I love the sound of this song. Did anyone else notice the studio effects on the drums? It's like a delay effect so it sounds twice as fast.

@DeluxeReissue Listen to the song 'Leave This Town' off Thin Lizzy's 1981 album 'Renegade' - the ZZ boogie influence is very obvious!

I have this album and others on vinyl...they are sound old and my copies are in excellent condition and played on a nice turntable.

I loved this song when it came out. Still do and yeah, it must be heard without all the background audience noise. Thx.
