Goddamn, she is so good! Argerich's performances these days are absolutely Dionysian! I despair at the possibility of never hearing her live. Martha, please come to Chicago again!

She came to San Francisco about ten years ago and played Prokofiev 3 with the SF Symphony. I had a seat in what Davies Hall calls the terrace, essentially above and to stage right, looking down at the keyboard, and I still can't believe what I saw and heard. There just isn't anybody like her and I'm not sure there ever has been.

(As an almost exact contemporary of hers, I also like the way she's aging in public--no Botox, no makeup, you're here for the music, right?)

I'm ashamed to sawy this is the first time I have seen Martha play live, if this may be considered live. Very fine performance. She pays almost constant attention to the conductor. I'm impressed. She certainly bolts up from the piano bench at the end of the concerto. Is it possible that Martha and Conductor Bashmet frequent the same hair stylist?

Nekem is Kocsis az etalon Bartók-ügyben. De MA zseniális, a nyomában liheg :) mindenképp a legjobb nem-magyar ebben a témában.

Kiváló előadásmód! Kb. 15 éve Budapesten hallottam őt először élőben e darabot játszani, mintha magyar szívvel játszaná - most is, felejthetetlen! A zenekar is nagyszerű! :-)

@antagora72 Haha:) Nem ismerem Brahms-ot, de a Schumann-zongoraversenyt már fölfedeztem egy ideje. Lehet, hogy elfogult vagyok, de valóban Martha előadásában tetszik legjobban :)

@mattiabp Szerintem BB zongoraversenyeit fordított sorrendben "könnyebb" meghallgatni, az első kettő számomra (anno) a disszonáns hangzásvilágával provokatívnak tűnt. Minél többször hallgatom meg a III.-t, annál inkább tűnik egyre nagyszerűbbnek céltudatos felépítésével, árnyalt lírai lágyságával, és magával ragadó "futamaival". A zenekar és zongora viszonyában inkább érezhető szerintem szimbiózis, mint dialóg, pláne nem hierarchikus jelleg, és annyira magyar. Szóval, hallgatni kell :D
