@juliengenre Indeed, this is Ragesque. RATM was/is an incredible formula in time. You rightfully put Morello as one of the best guitarist in the world and innovator ever. I would ask you to consider that while this album has his signature style, did you notice a certain funkiness and an element of nascent hip hop? I have to admit when I listen to RATM I get pumped up and agitated. This music gets under your skin and causes me to chair dance.

Have you listened to (or even heard of) the Nightwatchman? WAY different! And to Morello's credit, he developed his that sound. It's his SIGNATURE. You're dwelling on the fact that he uses effects, and that he uses drop tunings to get heavy riffs. You're not acknowledging that he has made very different uses of both of those techniques since the days of RATM. Until you have a reputation as one of the most influential modern rock stars, with several DIFFERENT SOUNDING records to back that up, don't judge.

boots was in the coup, an oakland rap group that was pretty tight back in the day, this actually sounds like typical rap/rock crossover, i dig the lyrics though, ya'll can hate for my opinion but just sharing, probably good live.

@Flig5 Because Audioslave was pretty lame. They had a couple of alright tracks but they couldn't top rage. They are a much better combo and they came to an end to soon. Although One Day As A Lion is fucking brilliant. Street Sweeper is pretty awesome but they will never be rage.

Which albums of Audioslave's have you listened to? Their self-titled Audioslave album was very RATM-like, but in the other two albums, I thought Tom did a great job of branching out.

I would disagree... RATM and Audioslave were really different, obviously they were similar but there was a noticeable difference. Although you can definitely see the RATM Tom Morello come out in SSSC, the album is definitely worth picking up. Not revolutionary, but a good album to rock out to.
