I was there too. I live in Cullman County, Garden City, but we didn't get hit, just some strong winds from the tornado, since it hit up in Hanceville, just a ways up the road, but we were still without power for almost nine days! Or well at least were I live was.
me and my family live at least 2min from macdonald chapel then we drove t pratt city where my cousins house was at the end of that mile so his house and his neighbors house was spared when i was walking there the gas was so intense where i almost passed out from the smell but that was the scariest thing that i have ever experienced
I live in Warrior, and at 5:30 that morning when the sirens started going off grabbed the kids and wife and headed to my parents basement. I didn't come home for three days. We had to cut our way around town. But for those in harder hit areas my prayers are with you. I hope none of us ever have to go through this again.
It gave me chills to watch but I wanted to say thankyou for filming this. In the sections 2:27- 3:14 you were filming in Sumiton/ Argo/ Cordova. My daughter & I had just moved to the area the weekend before the storm hit. In the part filmed at 3:14 were you topped the hill was where we lived behind that big building in the white house. It turned out on the 29th that we found out that the house was deemed unlivable & so a week to the day we ended up moving back to Shelby County. Thank you..
My heart and prayers go to each of the affected. This damage looks like Fredrick, Ivan, Kartrina hurricane damage. I agree with butchscorner us here on the gulf coast may be in for a tough year also. Please post if there are any fundraisers to assist with the rebuilding. I have distant relatives in Cordova, Nauvoo and Tuscaloosa. My God be each of you during this hard time.
@Mefallisandlinerider Hey, thanks. We made it OK.. Our area didn't really get hit hard.. just some twigs hither and yon.. Unfortunately, I can't say the same thing about others around me.
Your video was awesome. I used to live up 78 hwy and I have family in Cordova who lost everything. They managed to get in to the cellar just as the tornado hit. Thank God they are alive. The news has not mentioned much about those areas but they are devastated. Will be interested to see more. Thank you so much.
@1234526466 Anytime, I just wanted to make a video that wasn't all overdone in the news. I thought just a regular view from an ordinary citizen would give a better idea of everything. I STILL live in the area.. but might move out of "Tornado Alley" in about a year XD. :P
The trailer that was stroed all over a hill in Argo at the end of the video I knew those people there was no one hurt up in Argo hill area

I'm very happy you and your family are safe. What a time we are in and summer is just starting.

@butchscorner You know.. I was thinking the SAME thing. I'm thinking we might see something else considering that Hurricane Season has yet to start.

Thanks for filming the destruction that has fallen on your area and I'm glad you and your family are safe. Keep safe.

@dreadz808 Glad to do it. I just felt it was necessary to do. Yeah, we made it, but I'm afraid it'll take YEARS to clean the surrounding areas.
