I saw four amazing cars today, 2 smarts, 1 TDI Beetle, and a Ford GT...While all of them made my head turn, only the smarts and the Ford made me do a double take...

Too bad the roadster and the forfour didn't get off the ground, both of them were great concepts (even if the forfour was a Mitsubishi) that came at a bad time (low gas prices and a thirst for SUVs)..

Did you notices GAS PRICES IN EUROPE?

It is 1,5 euros (2,11usd) at one litre (0,26usgal) gasoline in FINLAND. aka 5,33usd/usgal!!!

actually, gas in the US has dropped quite a bit!

it USED to be about $5.00 per gal, but now it's like $1.60

It's exciting to see it so low again!

I'm excited about the SMART Fortwo arrival in the USA in 2008. However, I really wish that the new CDI diesel version would come as well (70 mpg "real world" driving). If the CDI came I'd buy it immediately, but for now we only get the gas version.

Completely agree, I own a smart fortwo passion and a dodge stratus, the smart is the car I enjoy most. jawday12345 is american (USA), Mercedes don't sell smart cars in that country (they will in 2008 through another company), so I guess he/she has not had any experience with these cars.
