He is in fact the hardest of the three forms, I honestly voted him the hardest boss in the game. But when I fought him it was without deban, barrier, or deban because I didn't know what they did. So try facing him without raising defense and speed and see how far you'd go.

As for my strategy, Rune with Effess then using Legion as secondary. Chaz using Rayblade then Nath as Secondary. Rika healing and attacking with Doubleslash. Then Wren with Positonbolt and using Flare as secondary.

I hated this boss so much, but loved the challenge of the fight. Most of the difficulty comes due to the fact that Seth's twist leaves you with only 4 people for this fight, and even with 5 it would've been tough.

Good strat for the fight. When I did it, I pretty much just put Rika on permanent support (heal, regain tp, heal), then used Wren to back up Chaz and Rune (since GrandCross was the shit at that point of the game). Even still, Corrosion was a bitch to keep up with on healing.

4 stars for this boss. It pretty tough cuz you only get 4 Characters. Corrison is strong spell for attack ur group. (100-150) Watchout for MindBlast. it will cast sleep on ur group. If none or 1 sleep then it good. keep heal ur groups and use ur strongest attack or use combo spells. (****)

I can't beat this asshole got lvl 40-41 chars but he casts corrosion almost every time. What am i doing wrong?

@anonymous812 if ur still struggling with it, make sure u use deban and saner from rika, barrier from wren, and if u r using pyshical attacks or skills with chaz have rika cast shift on him then just heal and fight. if ur still having trouble level up at the vahal fort for a little bit

@anonymous812 Seems like a decent enough level. Try using your combos and having Rika on standby to heal your characters. I think by that level you should have Gisar or even Nasar. You should definitely have Grandcross with Chaz and Rune. Keep fucking him up with it and use barrier with Wren if u want. I think it reduces damage from magic. Keep at it. You are at a good level!!!!!

This one is defenitly the hardest of the three Dark Forces (or at least the strongest). The second one was a joke. I beat him without any training and without him killing even one of my characters. This one, however, kills all three of my humanoid characters with just one blow and Wren alone stands no chance against him.

This boss... oh god. Once again, I can recall numerous instances where Wren had to take him down alone. Setting up the macros for Grand Cross sounds like a good idea... but otherwise, I have no idea how this guy took down the 3rd with all his characters still standing! Rune would be dust by turn 2, then chaz and rika survive for a while, but then eventually fall.

Out of all of the Dark Forces, this one was really easy. Saner is a life saver in dire needs! I haven't played this in a while but you can unlock Positron Bolt before this right?

Oh yeah you can. Once you get the Hydrofoil it unlocks the Silver Soldier job at the guild and you can get into the Vahal Fort where the Posibolt is.

this game is sweet and i thank he is the toughest boss in the game except the person who gives you migid i beated him and you dont get migid if you beat him and you only get 1exp and 1meseta a waste of time you should say no to him and get migid because you want migid and want to live because you have to be level 98 to beat him and getting migid is better then wasting your time ^.^

Yeah, Re-Faze is supposed to be impossible of course. :P I used a hex editor and save states to beat him a while ago (I gave Chaz a ton of HP and then refilled it every time it went low). I never bothered getting to level 98 though.

when u fight dark force they shoud have exteded battles with dark force 2-3 alot longer

you got lucky on that Trimate on Rune (which was obviously supposed to be on Chaz) towards the end... if he cast any spell other than Mindblast Chaz was definitely dead.  Good nonetheless, I hate having only 4 guys for this one.

Yeah, my finger slipped. :P I do that once in a while, but usually it doesn't hurt because I can just cancel out of it, as long as I don't do it with the last character in the lineup...
