No sense in arguing over which should have won Shooter of the Year, both BF3 and CoD: MW2.5 didn't deserve it.

BF3 may be the best looking FPS with some interesting gameplay mechanics... It also has some small ass maps for a Battlefield game. As for MW3? ... It's MW2 so what else is there to say, exactly?

No one here really remembers when Call of Duty was a great franchise back on PC with the all time favourite Call of Duty 2. Then M$ started to finger Activejews and fucked it up.

@tyjuco No matter, really. The show is mostly paid off and rigged. Only reason to watch the VGA's is to see who hosts, upcoming games, exclusive trailers and that's it. MW3 is the same game as it was in 2007. Skyrim would have been a utter fail were it not for the mod community (Console port?!) and Battlefield 3 should have remained as a PC Only title.

EA forcing DICE for a Campaign didn't help much. All in all? 2011 wasn't that great on games.

Witcher 2 should have won RPG.

Or how about Demon's Souls? That ended up getting numerous awards and became a smash hit on PS3. It did not sell all that well in NA - Sold more in Japan.

Dark Souls and Witcher 2 were the only games worthy of being nominated for RPG of the Year. Skyrim without mods is complete trash.

Battlefield is also a PC game at heart. BF3 going to consoles was pointless, and a waste of time for DICE. Bad Company should remain on Console where as the real series remains on PC.

As for CoD delivering what was promised? What exactly WAS promised? Same game since 2007 - same engine, same gameplay.
