Yue Niang is so contradictive. She acts like what a modern women does, but she has a very conservative thinking. And Chen Xi ALWAYS gets sad and tear up/ cry after her rejections again and again. The cycle repeats until they both find 'somebody' and marry that person.

I would agree that it should be 炫耀 than 悬崖， because of 押韵，if you realise the first all the lines end with "ao"，押韵 is a requirement in chinese lyrics composition.
