A good live recording of this song NEEDS to see the light of day. This song is awesome live. The drums in particular are so hard! Makes the percussion on the album sound like a kid's Casio toy keyboard. Hard to go back to the studio recording after hearing this.
I saw MBV in 1991. in Manchester. Fucking amazing. I was 17. I looked so cool, tight black leather thigh waist jacket, bushy back-combed hair, beads, and tight jeans.
@pfile@MasTriste what's not to get? they're SO good! i was at this show, but could hardly see anything. the sound was like a massage, though. thank you for posting this!
"...9 minutes of nothing happening." Poor sod. Pity him for not getting it. 9 minutes of everything. It's got the lot. 9 minutes of tripped-out, psyched-out bliss. It's a great clip and the crowd were treated to almost four minutes at the end, that's long. I nearly flew over from the UK to see this gig. Wish I had now.
Thank you so much, I was so high I couldn't remember anything other than this was the greatest moment of my entire life. I was to your right, a little closer to kevin, but god damn it was the most amazing thing ever man. It brought everyones love together for this glorious, glorious moment in time. I may never know you, but I can say that I am no longer loveless.
believe me it took everything i had to hold the camera over my head for 8:50. probably pissed off some people behind me, but now i'll never forget this show.
probably the greatest song with a crazy-hip-dance beat.

How to go about sucsessfuly recording an mbv gig without your mic distorting?
Set up camp three miles away.
BeTheDeathOfMe 9 months ago
@BeTheDeathOfMe and also set your mic attenuation to maximum.

One of the greatest songs ever recorded. Sad that most people don't "get" MBV.

This could've gone on for 5 more minutes and I never would've minded.
Awesome performance (and great audio too).

Great song, a group I really wanted to see at the time
My hearing is probably glad I didn't make it. Friend said his ears rang for two days after a MBV gig !

So they're back together again. I wonder if they're coming to Chicago anytime soon. I love this tune.

They just played the Aragon a few months ago. Brilliant. Loudest thing I've ever heard.

Brilliant.

actually, why Deb is so rockish? tired to play the same things since 1991 (18 years past); anyway, she'd be honuored to belong to history. great!
