Oh, and with universal healthcare, one does not have to wait until something becomes a life threatening emergency before getting care, clogging emergency systems.

The Soviet Union became a mess because of state monopolisation.
The best system is one in which private enterprise runs most things, but where private enterprise is incapable or unwilling to run certain things or should not be trusted to run these things, then the government should take of it.

And as far as a tiny minority who are denied car, they get to sue the insurance company. And you are not really denied medical care, Ive never heard a story of some1 being turned away from ER.

It is not a tiny minority, and not just the uninsured. Did you know that, in the US, most of the personal bankruptcies were due to medical costs? And a lot of THOSE were for people who had ACTUALLY HAD INSURANCE, they PAID for their medical treatment via their insurance, but the Insurance company death panels DENIED THEM COVERAGE.
Oh, and with universal healthcare, one does not have to wait until something becomes a life threatening emergency before getting care, clogging emergency systems.

dangerouslytalented Comparing to those who are insured , they are a minority, yes it is expensive, thus we need a reform , but not govt. take over. And if you know anything about universal healthcare you would know that people tend to wait for their procedures even though their conditions are potentially life threatening. And if you are for govt. run health care , then you must have loved the job Bush did with economy. Or do you honestly think that democrats will be elected forever?

What Bush did was give massive tax cuts to mostly the wealthy, and replace many systems which should have been government run with for-profit private contractors.

I am a liberal, but i've started to be honest with myself recently and while I hate glenn beck (because as a liberal you have to hate fox news) I have found it really difficult to disprove any of the facts which he has stated about van jones. Please fellow liberals help me to regain my faith in transforming society for the better and that government can take care of me better than I can (i'm worried that van jones might not have been the right man for the job).
