@MrMudvayne1 Listen to all of their albums...in chronological order. Their first alum has soo much more emotion and feeling to it then the rest. In the other albums they just seem to have lost all that (along with Chad's vocals :P). Their last album was much better compared to The New Game, but I don't think they will ever do anything like L.D50 again...IMO

I hate to be "one of those fans" but thank God they got this performance with all these L.D. 50 cuts recorded and put on DVD. It goes without saying that this band was really onto something and then completely lost it. The End Of All Things To Come was also awesome but L.D. 50 just about revolutionized the metal scene. Each album after TEOATTC just got worse and worse.
Having heard only a few whole songs from it, it really just reminds me of Lost and Found which is an album I don't think I've ever been able to listen through start to finish. I rocked L.D. 50 and TEOATTC hard has fuck when I first got them and loved every minute of it but every album after those never grabbed me and made me want to hear them.
I love all mudvayne albums (havent heard 2009 release). Chad doesn't scream as much anymore (in all songs) , but vocals are still great, ryan is amazing, matt is amazing, and greg has great riffs! Seen them live in 2009 three times. Hope 2010 has the same amount of Touring. Mudvayne Pits are awesome!
im pretty sure its his amp its still in the right tuning but the amp has a lighter distortion and yes they should go back to drop B cause C just isnt that good of a tuning for them they wrote the best stuff in the lower tuning

i agree ryan is just so fucking amazing to compare the 2 isnt even a contest, matt is incredible at his instrument, and chad can belt it at an incredibly high level. greg isnt a bad guitarist, but he does not add anything extra in terms of skill that all the others do so well.
If i may add, that's perfect for Mudvayne. If you had an overpowering guitarist the band would sound forced and overdone. Matt, Chad, and Ryan are brilliant musicians, and so is Greg. But Mudvayne is primarily drum and vocal based so a super solo riffing slayer type guitarist is not needed, and would upset the balance. Greg is PERFECT for Mudvayne and as you can hear on the later records he does pretty cool solos too.
i consider him a very good guitarist. But he's overshadowed by the other three. I mean, to compare Ryan and Greg is comparing a tiger to a koi fish. Ryan's that good
I think it's because compared to other guitarists he doesn't stand out. For me though, all four of them bring something to the table and Mudvayne wouldn't be what it is without Greg.

I love all mudvayne albums (havent heard 2009 release). Chad doesn't scream as much anymore (in all songs) , but vocals are still great, ryan is amazing, matt is amazing, and greg has great riffs! Seen them live in 2009 three times. Hope 2010 has the same amount of Touring. Mudvayne Pits are awesome!

im pretty sure its his amp its still in the right tuning but the amp has a lighter distortion and yes they should go back to drop B cause C just isnt that good of a tuning for them they wrote the best stuff in the lower tuning

i agree ryan is just so fucking amazing to compare the 2 isnt even a contest, matt is incredible at his instrument, and chad can belt it at an incredibly high level. greg isnt a bad guitarist, but he does not add anything extra in terms of skill that all the others do so well.

If i may add, that's perfect for Mudvayne. If you had an overpowering guitarist the band would sound forced and overdone. Matt, Chad, and Ryan are brilliant musicians, and so is Greg. But Mudvayne is primarily drum and vocal based so a super solo riffing slayer type guitarist is not needed, and would upset the balance. Greg is PERFECT for Mudvayne and as you can hear on the later records he does pretty cool solos too.

I think it's because compared to other guitarists he doesn't stand out. For me though, all four of them bring something to the table and Mudvayne wouldn't be what it is without Greg.

i miss this. I mean i like L&F and TNG, it's just too different (however i'm glad it's mudvayne, they pwned some mainstream ass like Disturbed with those releases). I just need some more complex music, they went too far with TNG, although i approve. They must change their direction, now. I need some puzzling lyrics, more BassPwnage, i need REAL McDonough and less GregSolos.

ya know i dont reallly see why people always bring slipknot to mudvayne and mushroomhead vids mudvayne and mushroomhead and slipknot are three diffrent bands yeah there nu metal but you gotta really focus on the band members own ability chad grey one of the best screamer and singers in numetal next too corey taylor and jmann and waylon ryknow we all know is a bassist god guurg a damn great guitarist matt mcdonough one of the greatet drummers next too vinnie paul of pantera....
