Don't buy this laptop, the Cinedash freezes quite often (only fix is to turn off and remove battery...great in the middle of a presentation), the CD drive's broken twice, it crashes to blue screen RANDOMLY once or twice a month.

Too bad because it's good when it works.

But you can't rely on it.

yh.. put the XP cd inside ur laptop and then restart ur comp.. if u try to install xp without restarting it then u wont be able to because u cant downgrade windows.

i own this laptop, had a few problems though (Probrably because i have dropped it a few time) i used to have the problem where the buttons on the side were jammed and would automatically open my mail or go on the internet constantly, however right now the lcd screen keeps flickering can anyone help me with this ?

I also have this laptop but my video card is ATI Mobility radeon HD 3650 @ 512MB and it has 3G of DDR2 but whenever I play games with system info it says that my Ram is 2G only and my video memory blown up to 2048MB. I already tried other games but still they indicate my video memory is 2G. I play lots of latest games and they are all running very smooth. ^_^

GTA IV lags becouse it is a real pc killer, i've read some posts about it being poorly optimised for pc use, the 9500m gs just cant run this game smoothly , i think, call of duty 4 runs fine , as for undercover and cod 5 haven't tried those, FEAR 2 runs fine on med\high, DAWN OF WAR 2 runs great on med, battleforge runs fine on high but with shadows turned to low or off ... i have spent not more then an hour on most of these games so i cant be absolutely shure.

It seems there is at least 2 versions of this laptop. In the video there is mention of Intel GMA965 which quite frankly sucks for gaming. The 6920G I have here has nVidia 9500GS with 512meg for graphics.

no i never had such a problem, but it can overheat if you put it on some soft surface that doesn't allow air to pass through the ventelation holes. What games exactly did it freeze in? by the way 9500m gs.. of course. Go to the service and try to check the cooler.

2GHz is fine for a laptop (and it is dual core remember), tell your friends to do some research, also the clock speed of the centrinos is always lower for the same performance than the desktops, my 2GHz 6920G gets better cpumarks than my friends 2.6GHz desktop Core 2duo.

i have played crysis on Acer on high screen resolution 1366x720 & maximum details too. But if use softening setting the game crisis starts to slow down a bit. I tell u a little secret just turn off unnessary running application that a normal use dose not use. Those applications consume a lot of cpu power.

I bought the 5930g is it amazing dude i can play which game I want but the 6920 design is much nicer and the screen too. I did a choice performance or design the 6920 is good on both but the 5930 had a little better performance so I bought the 5930 in sweden it cost 1200 us dollars
