Thanks for the compliment. Actually these things usually are the product of many, many takes, then I try to pick the best... I did like this one, myself. Thanks for commenting.
That was great! I've given many 'cave' performances myself, and let me say, that was a 'Keeper'! It used to be, just me and God, but now, who knows.... Now, there's YouTube! HaHa:cD 5 Star performance/work-out!
Your voice and beat are similar to Jimmy Cliff but this rendition is more syncopated and not as smooth. Don't get me wrong, I like your version of it. I am a Jimmy Cliff fan and totally dig his cover of the song. The BOY born as James Chambers had a tough time on his first 2 singles. His song Hurricane Hattie is one of my old favs. I still give you a 5/5 for Originality on this take.
Hey, thanks. Yeah, all I can ever really do is my own take on things as well as I can, I don't really have the discipline to get down a faithful cover... my strengths & weaknesses are definitely my own.
Hey Guitarist in Progress - you just made my day here in foggy London Town.. great stuff - works to be cheery or to say 'f*ck it', it's that good! XXX
Chris! Thanks! Hey, nice to see you on here! Been thinking of you, just haven't gotten around to writing yet... hope all's well. I'm going to Europe next month, wanna come to Belgium & Amsterdam for a few days?
Cheery songs suck! (sometimes) But you sound good! Good like: 'on-the-coast-of-Maine-with-good-old-friends-on-the-4th-of-July' -good; but still, sometimes good cheery songs, well, you know... Love you still.
excellent! reminds me of one very early morning drive (12 years sgo?!)from Boston to CT after a wonderful visit with a friend I'd first met in Seattle, heard this song on the radio at sunrise that day. It reminds me of him to THIS day; (one of the many things I forget to tell him.) Don't stop playing- WHENEVER/always! xoxoxooxoxoxooxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
@broken1676 Actually the trick is to stop making me do needless work to remove your spam BS from my comments. Go to hell, spammer.

Very soulful, and I like how you work in the strip-tease with the shadowy lighting.

I'm not sure which of your covers I like more:
This one, or 'Fire'?
Bah...I'll just favourite both. Keep em coming!
The syncopation is very groovy!
