  • what is the point in showing it while the hair extension is still wet? its gonna be darker wet... and hairdye stops working after you've left it for like half an hour so i dno what that was all about?

  • Is that a permanent hair color dye??

  • @Moni2Minx yeppp

  • can i use a paint brush to dye my luxy extensions? i don't live near anywhere that sells dying brushes

  • @lealyn23 How long did it take for the smell of hair dye to go away on the extensions??? Please let me know.

  • Thanks for the tutorial! Very helpful!

  • Oh my god you're gorgeous

  • great help thanks :)

  • are those extentions synthetic?

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks for the video. I was wondering is it better to wash them first before I dye them if I never washed them yet?

  • i got blonde extensions online. they came out nothing like the color swatch/hair dye i bought. i only left the dye in for 1 min too and they came out super dark, it's crazy.

  • Thanks for all the tips. your videos are great! I just dyed my hair with revlon # 27. I need my extentions for friday to wear n they dont match. i bought everything at sallys n gonna dye them one day this week! :)

  • @Danielle2243 no you cant cos i tried that yesterday and it failed x.x lol

  • get it in ;p

  • Where do you get the thicker extensions?

  • can you hair dye fake extensions, so which means that its not real human hair.

  • @Danielle2243 no it wont take to the hair so it wont keep the color and it might ruin them so i wouldnt recomend it...

  • Can I ask you, I bought blonde extensions, as I knew they'd be easiest to dye the colour I want to go, I am dying them black, and a few strips of pink, they are 100% human hair (I can heat style them and the box says they are) but say not to dye them? Because they are human hair, can I still dye them, but it might damage them more? Thanks in advance

  • @MetalKitty73 i hate the same problem , my old hair extensions are blonde and i want to dye them black , but they say not to dye them darker than 2 shades :/ , i dont want them to mess up so i dont no weather to do it or not :/

  • @lampost95 I've tested out the dye on a little bit, it seems okay, but very dry, I'm not sure if it will be wise to dye them all. But if I don't I can't wear them. I will let you know how it turns out when I have done it (as I got my extensions cheap on offer) so that you can decide if you want to do it or not

  • are these the new sassy hair exstentions your dying?

  • cn u lift etensions like my hair dresser told me u cnt the xtnsions i got r black nd i wnt them pink so cud we blech the extrnsion then put pink dye in it??

  • @dae0987 Not, it'll kill it. you'll have to get blonde.

  • @dae0987 if the hair is really human hair it can be bleached but since it is not attatched to the head it will have a little more damage than your natural hair. i wanted blue so i just bought some ash blond extensions. so i hope this helped but just be prepared for alot of damage if you do bleach

  • wat about if your using a whole head of extensions...

  • so you can dye the hair extentions and they dnt get runied?

  • @TheEstafunny if they're human hair, then yes. you can treat them the way you would your own hair. like, straightening, curling, washing, dyeing...etc

  • I LOVE COLOR SILK DYE!! haha I use that for all my natural colors. The black and blonde I use turn out amazing, haven't gone red. It's a good product for its price too :D

  • were they fake or real , !?

  • @TheRikki09 they were real:)

  • @missfafaliiattipoe thank i need to no cuz i have fake ones

  • Comment removed

  • We dont dye our hair, we color it!!!!

  • are they real or fake extentions? :)

  • That hair die is the devil

  • Where do you come up with this stuff...so good!!!

  • was the hair dye a new set???

  • does anyone know how i would dye extensions to make it look like the roots are darker and it fades to light throughout the rest of the hair? im having a weave done and i want it to look like its my natural hair, any feedback will help:)!!! xxx

  • @zlhperring the best way to do something like that is to 1st use am all natural product and 2nd lie the extention down then layer the die on going from top to bottom just rub it on like that then when u go to wash it... make sure u wash it in the shower just let it run holding the bottom where the hair is not the top where the weft is :)

  • I did the exactly the same thing when I was younger, I tried to straighten my dolls hair xD

  • Do you have to wash the extensions BEFORE you dye them?

  • @lenolivia no just after ;)

  • The shaking sounds wrong and look wrong! xD

  • how long do you have to wait for the dye to set?

  • if i want to go from jet black to off black what color dye would i use? i ordered some in off black but they came out extremely darker than my previous ones

  • do you have to wash the extensions before you dye them?

  • @ashnoel1 no don't wash them before. Just like your own hair you should leave them around 2 to 3 days without washing before dying them, im a hairdresser

  • you actually shouldn't fold the weft up in the foil because it needs to oxidize... in the salon the foil is simply to keep the colored portion away from hair either not being colored or being colored a different color

  • hello. I decided to dye my hair extensions to light ash brown but nothing changed :(( it wuz still jet black. I dont know what went wrong. Help please ?

  • @yojazzie92 because ur hair extentions where jet black try using a platinum blonde colour then wait longer then it says then dye it the colour u want :)

  • @zomb3ey thankss soo much ! :D but will it make a diffrence? because i heard

it doesnt quite work that way with extensions since they dont have natural oils

    like our own hair ?

  • @yojazzie92 well it depends on the percentage of the quality (human hair ) my friend bought some in the past and it said human hair no percentage though .She tryed to dye them and it didn't work that well . if there 100 % they should work perfectly :) .And in human hair its made with the percific oils and chemicals so you can do what you want with them like our hair ( dye, straitghen, cut, curl, crimp, wash,) . If you wash them before it might not work as good as if you dampen them :) hope i helped

  • @yojazzie92 i dye my extensions all the time and it works fine, you just need to leave it on a little longer than usual, around 45-50 minutes. I've had both 100% and 0 and works fine on both. just make sure you dont wash them before you dye them, otherwise thats just guna make your job harder

  • You put WAY too much dye on that tniy weft of hair, you basically put the whole tire box of dye on that thang!!! LOL :P

  • You tube is amazing, theanility to share tru hair and beautl profressional so easiely. Check or youtube simplext the are001% perscenryl truly deamess 100 uhumajin hair with free sh1pping.

  • how do you know if your extensions are real hair or fake?

  • @justinbieberfann658 fake ones tend to be very shinny , real ones aren't so shinny

  • @justinbieberfann658 the fake hair extensions will start looking ratty

and the real ones will look natural like your own hair :D

  • @justinbieberfann658 do u mean if they are synthetic or human ? if there synthetic when you try to curl them they will curl but when you brush them they tangle and look weird and they burn if you dye them :)

  • Do you think I could dye my hair extensions lighter than the color they already are?

  • Im so nervous to dye my hair extensions. I have blonde ones, and they are a shade too yellow for my hair, ) so maybe if I blend them with my hair, it will look better lol.

  • you got really good extensions ;D

I'm glad to see that you got what you actually paid for! (:

    it's really pretty

  • what type of extensions did you use?

i have some in right now that are really dry and tangled from only wearing them for maybe 5 days. i did dye them when i got them tho. and they're 100% human hair. i just remember they were sassy 18" extensions from sallys.

  • How many gram of hair did you get? :)

  • So when you washed them, did you wash it with a shampoo that came with it? And im guessing you used your own conditioner to give it more moisture right? Cause I'm thinking of dying my own extensions from luxy and i dont want to screw the softness of it!!Youre answer would be greatly appreciated!

  • what do you use to wash ur extensions?

  • i love this color its smells so good

  • my hair sucksssss i bought remy but only 8 wefts came in it and theyre thin and my hair is thick what are good human hair extensions to use?

  • @GenaChristina

    Luxy hair extensions :)

  • @GenaChristina

There are certain grams hair extensions comes in.

I heard it is recommended to have at least 100g to 160g of hair extensions.

Maybe you just got some thin ones?

  • @GenaChristina I have Euronext 18" I bought them at Sally's it comes with 8 clip on extensions and 2 extra extensions without clip (clips are included seperate). From my personal experience mine are thick and I can say really good. They cost me 90 some dollars I cant remember but I would sure reccomend them. :)

  • when you comb through the extensions, ESPECIALLY WHEN WET, START FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE HAIR AND WORK YOUR WAY UP!

this will prevent the hair from ripping out, or getting damaged.

    :)

  • *sigh* the things we do for our hair :)

  • Very informative video thanks your very pretty btw and your Hair and makeup looks great

  • its cheper just buyn a new pack

  • The sound of the color mixing is really gross...

  • thats exactly how I do mine, but just a tip, comb from the bottom up, then all the way throu you get less knots & you hair extentions last longer(:

  • @Dacaribbean how do you comb from the bottom to the top? ): I dont understand that, it sounds like it would make it ratty....

  • Briliant tutorial, you have lovely hair :) It worked great for me (:

  • where u on 16 and pregnant

  • hi so i tried your tutorial and it was very helpful forme but the thing is i colred my extensions black last month and since then the colour that i dyed the extensions like come out when i washed them. i have no idea why that happens! i'm not sure if it's because i didn't leave the dye long enough (i left it on for like 20mins) or was it because the dye i used sucked.

  • Where did you get you extensions? I need some, hahha :) Hopefully you read this pleeeease

  • @iluvmybabyponi sallys beauty supply has the best

  • @XweXcollideX Thanks!

I already got some actually. But thanks anyways :)

  • @iluvmybabyponi Sallys do good quality extensions, or hairtrade(dot)com are great or headkandi(dot)com, you can also buy hair extensions from most salons which is a safer alternative because they will match your shade for you (: But if your on a budget, try ebay. I reccomend buying hair extensions in wefts without clips sewn in because they're generally a whole lot cheaper, sometimes up to £50 (like $80) cheaper and you can just sew them in yourself :)

  • @iluvmybabyponi Get Luxy extensions. theyre WAY better!

  • Hopefully you still read these but...For all those extensions did you only use one box of hairdye or two? I have 14" dark brown extensions and like to dye them black but I'm not sure if one box would be enough.

  • @Lakaliiia If you have a whole head of hair extensions, one box of hair dye would only be enough for about half a head considering 14" is quite long, from experience i'd reccomend using two, you can buy three depending on the thickness to be safe and if it turns out you don't need to use the third you can always return it and get your money back :)

  • I just dyed my hair extensions last night and it was really difficult to comb through.

So I just applied the hair dye on the hair without combing it.

Unfortunately, the coloring result is a little uneven. ;-(

  • here is another tip that you can use. instead of using a comb, you can use an old toothbrush. it's much gentler and it's easier to smooth to comb the dye through the hair for a more even colour because i know how hard it is to comb the hair when they have hair dye in them. hair dye is already so damaging to the hair, combing through it roughly just makes it even more worse.

  • i us professional dye creme i wood like to now the different between liquid dye i want to paint my extension chocolate brown and my extension is light brownish bland pls comment me back

  • i mean wht happens if u bleach it

  • @asainlove It dries out and breaks off lol...

  • @kDOTsProductions ahaha ok serious ? :L

I would never bleach mine my friend just wants to knw

but i don't really like bleachy colours anyways

  • @asainlove Yeah haha you can go as dark as you want..But you cant ever bleache them...Well....You could but not to the extreme, they dry out so much..And dont look good at alllll

  • @kDOTsProductions yeah thats wht i keep saying to my friend but someone won't listen ... :L

    Anyways thanks :D

  • @asainlove Well..Let her screw them up..she's gunna have to go buy new ones..

  • @kDOTsProductions Yeaah .

and btw hav u relised we just spamed this video with comments ahahaha :L

  • Are you allowed to bleach it ?

  • Im having micro ring loop extensions applied and my sister is doing them for me and I want to die my hair with a red rint and i want to do it to the extensions too so should i die them before I apply them or when they are already in my hair.

  • @Kiri1441 good question. im doing the same thing but with brown, and cannot decide if i should dye my hair and extensions sepaately or together or whatt

  • thanks a lot for this! i have red hair so its really hard to get extentions to match my colour! xD haha! but i just bought some blonde ones and some of my usual packet hair dye to dye them with tonight! so this helped alot, thanks! :D <3

  • Thanks so much for this :D It was so convenient because you used the same brand of hair dye that I bought on the same length extensions

  • wen u dye da hair will it get dry nd loose the quality of the extensions??becuzz i told my mom 2 get me hair extensions nd she bought the wrong color they were not refundable nd soo the extensions i wanna dye r like brand brand new im just worried if i dye dem theyll dry out!!!

  • Where did you buy your hair extensions to??

  • dang did you put enough dye on thAat one tiny strip

  • WOW. Did I hear that right? $2.99 for a box of hair dye!? I HAVE to move to America! In Australia its $20.00 for the CHEAP dye!!

  • @laurathegrinch thats what i was thinking! i was like WHAT!

  • @laurathegrinch yeah i get mine for 3.99 :) but i recommend getting hair dye from sally's only 8.99 it works so much better and it stays on longer! but if you cant really afford that then 3.99 should do :]

  • Do you have to use a specific type of hair dye on extensions?

  • you should of waited for it to be 100% dry just to be safe because the hair is always darker when wet

  • This was amazingly helpful. I bought my extensions (20 inch) off of Ebay. A very respected seller, although I'm afraid to dye them. I've heard horror stories of extensions falling apart. Mine are real human hair too...

  • comb from the bottom to the top or the extensions get ruined

  • I have sympathick extensions & I dyed them AND curl AND straighten them, they work GREAT!

  • @lilmissgaga really? i heard you coulnt straighten them ? were they like the cheap ones ?

  • What kind of extensions are these? I cant tell really. Are they w/o clips?

  • You should always start brushing at the end of the hair, even when you brush your own hair its just better for your hair if you start at the bottom.

    Great video though so helpful!

  • this video helped me so much! my extensions are lighter than my hair and i've been wanting to dye them. can't afford the salon, and i was a little freaked out about dying them myself. but i'm for sure going to try it now!

thank you so much for your video :D

  • your not suppose to comb your exstions because the hair can fall apart

  • what type of extension do u use?

  • Hii you no when u said that you were going to dye the 1 inch weft first well won't that ruin all the dye because u left it lying around or did u just use 1 box for that then use another for all the rest of the set??

  • @itsazeen for me it does. but if not, it's cheap enough just to re-do it.

  • I love hair extensions but the only thing that sucks is if you dye it too much the extensions get very coarse.

  • Does this hair dye last a long time?

  • @itsazeen, so far so good, i've had it for almost 6 months and no problems yet.

  • @lealyn23

    ok, thanks :)

  • How many times can you dye your extentions?

  • @punkloverprephater , technically i assume you can dye them as much as you want since they are human hair, but i wouldn't, just to maintain the integrity and quality of the extensions.

  • y ddnt u just mix a lil of the dye together in the bowl to do the tester so that the whole bottle doesnt loose its streingth

  • do you know how many times you can dye extentions?

  • i LOVE revlon colorsilk hair dye. best i've tried. it's very inexpensive too!

  • @nicolelovesjbx3

    Does it last?

  • @itsazeen , i think it works great, i still have my original hair color and dont have any problems.

  • I melted my Barbies hair too! :D

  • @xLambency , lol, we so silly!

  • this was sooo helpful, i get my extentions from sally's and they ran out of the color i use, so i was just going to dye them. Thanks :]

  • @oxashxo2010 no problem. =)

  • @oxashxo2010 I've heard that the extensions from sally's aren't 100% human hair. Only part of it is human hair. If you dye them they will fall apart. I went on their website and there were VERY many complaints about them. I would try dyeing them on a small peice of hair first. Kind of like she did in the video. I'm just trying to be helpful :-]

  • @oxashxo2010 Sally's in goldstream??

  • Where did you get your extensions?

    Sally's as well?

  • @Puppydogz101 She got them at Hello Gorgeous :)

  • can you dye dark extensions lighter?

  • why aren't you mixing the heirdye in the bowl?? xD It's much easyer :P

  • @BROKEN12LALABLA lol, i didn't even think of that, im just used to using box dye and the bottle it comes in so i guess i just innately went with that, lol!

  • are they real hair ones? or not real hair

  • VERY nice hair!

  • u actually would have runied it cause u cant store already mixed hairdye it will explode in the bottle!!

  • helped A LOT, thanks so much :)

  • thank you....helped a lot!! cause I am wanting to get jet black && dye tips blonde, sowhat should I do for that??

  • Are They Synthetic, If Not Do You Know How Do You Dye Synthetic ??

  • @sina786 She just said in the video that you cannot dye, straighten, curl, etc. synthetic hair extensions.

  • @sina786 you cannot dye synthetic hair extensions they will tangle into knots and is hard to dry them and use heating tools on the as they will melt

  • @sina786 you cannot dye synthetic hair extensions they will tangle into knots and is hard to dry them and use heating tools on the as they will melt

  • how did you wash the dye off? where?

  • @Vlogirlz in the bathroom sink, i just ran it under cold water until the water ran clear

  • i didnt know you had to wash your extentions?!

  • We have the same hair color :D

As in the revlon soft black..

and the same color hai extensions lol

hopefully it'll come out as good as yours did !

  • Hey will hair dye residue damage my hair extensions?? I just dyed mine black and I kept rinsing them and rinsing them and also washed them with shampoo but color kept coming off i'm just worried that the hair dye residue will damage them. Should I keep rinsing them till the water is clear??? Please let me know asap. Thanx.

  • @yoyoecho lemme know how they turn out. i would love to see it as a vid response!

  • @yoyoecho totally, i wear my extensions all the time and they are still soft, make sure to buy a heavy duty conditioner, the one i featured in the video is my favorite!! if you check out my contest video, i am wearing them there. you can see they are super shiny and soft.

  • please reply!!!!

can you bleach black hair extentions and dye them RED!!!!plzzzzzzzzzz reply

  • @manalupe19 you can bleach black human hair extensions. emphasis on the human hair. after bleaching them you can dye them any color you like.

  • @lealyn23

but why would you do that?? just go buy blonde extensions...lol

  • @kngdiana1 , some people would want the darkest pigmentation of the black hair dye as possible, bleaching them would allow you to get the darkest pigmentation as possible without the worry that blonde hair extensions would alter the color already. Kind of like the concept they give you on the side of hair dye boxes at the drugstore (you know when they show you your natural color and what it would look like after you dyed it)

  • @kngdiana1

Why would you waste money when you can dye it yourself for waaay less.

and because you already bought extensions but just want to dye them AND your hair to match. hair extensions can be expensive. if you dont want to risk it yourself get it done at a salon which is most likely less then what you paid for for extensions.

  • Ummm Why Do Most Stylest Use Foil?? I Mean I Never Understood That (:

  • @SGcesi1 , you know im not really sure, i'll ask my friend whos a cosmetologist and get back to you.

  • @SGcesi1 It prevents the color from bleeding and insures that you'll get the most evenly distributed color possible.

  • @DreamBubble101 or u could jus buy blonde hair and then jus dye them pink...
