O'reilly is spot on on this, mionority neighborhoods are the most dangerous in America, and soon they wil be the majority of Americans!! I fear for this country!!!!!
WTF??? Police officers are "scared" to service these communities because of the violence, drugs, etc???? Uh...that's what they signed up for and what they're PAID to do...with our tax dollars I might add. Is this O'Reilly's pathetic argument? Fighting crime goes with the territory of being a POLICE OFFICER. Oh yeah, O'Reilly is "winning" ...Duh.
Umm Bill if the police are scared then they shouldn't really be police right? I don't want some cowardly fuck scared to come to my neighborhood until AFTER the gun fire is over.
Jhonson is very on point.we have the same problem here in the uk.certain communities are not being policed effectively, so crime is high there.Even though there are cctv cameras all over the street, crime just grows.
We call the cameras on the streets the "Big Brother" program. Here in America, The politicians are more afraid of it than the American people! We dont want the GOVT pointing a camera in our bedrooms. Wow its unbelievable that even with cameras crime is still high! Lawyers out here pray for a camera so they could get their "big Rodney King" break-off! LOLs
Question 2: You are a typical knee-jerk reactionary that yells"racist" without THINKING that its not a RACE issue alone!
Question 3: I DO CARE as I am in law enforcement and TRY to help make all people's neighborhoods SAFE and PLEASANT to live in, but residents themselves NEED TO CARE FIRST. We can't make it better unless they help US.
So, ToranoDude, at least I step-up to fix the problem, while YOU like to assume that opinions are based on race
he explained that its a race thing, who rules the majority of PJs?Whenever they speak of inner-city life, its always divided into sections. its not something that i made up,
and don't u try to deny it.
And as far as what i'm doing for my community,
Im 17, I graduated high school early,
I tutor kids in my neighborhood for free,
and I also volunteer as an art teacher at one of the local community centers.
So Maybe it was silly of me to assume u as a racist but u assumed i was all talk as well.
I was there too: full of warm and fuzzy feelings from my liberal education, chock full of ACLU and Amnesty International feelings and thinking that inner city problems were ALL the white man's fault.
Start working a paying job and dropping a good chunk of your pay for taxes for the next decade or so and I guarantee that your rosy disposition on the plight of the Inner City will dim drastically.
I admire your service, good work, but don't cry "racist" so quickly
haha, no man. I don't think it's the white man's fault, honestly. I know we're all to blame as well. I just don't think the government has helped as much as it could have. I grew up in harlem, with a single father, and went to a public school.
i'm not only complaining, I'm also doing my best to change it.
And I do have a job, I have to pay for college myself. So I understand taxes.
If something resolvable does not happen soon in these crime ridden areas you cops are going to start seeing a rise in vigilantism against the criminals in america. People are tired of being scared where they pay their taxes. I predict this in the next 3 to 5years. Good citizens are going to take matters in their own hands very soon.
Moochdad-Cops show up in these neighborhoods to investigate crime and get: "I didn't see nuthin"
Question: Lets say I did see something and you catch the guy. He serves time, remembers your face, and comes out for some of his brand of snitching justice! What is the point of prolonging the inevitable by sending him to prison?
You know the price we pay for snitching so why ask his neighbor right next door to risk their lives? Thats what we pay you people for!!
There you have it! THAT is why America's inner cities are in the toilet and will stay there! Your attitude!
Let the cops take care of this...let child protective services take care of that...Typical!
Take some bloody OWNERSHIP AS A COMMUNITY- help each other by helping US!
"The police are the people and the people are the police".
You turn your back on the safety of your own community-your own FAMILY because you just want the cops to "find" the perpetrators through some kind of mind power.
Cops aint my people! For some reason when they look at me, and Im sure you heard this, all they thing is "You Fit the Description"! Not one cop I have ever met here in LA county actually live and serve LA county. Most of the officers have a misconception of young black male's and bring it to work!
Good point that we as a community should take ownership against the 18th st gangs, bloods & Crips, druglords, and F13 (Florencia 13)! We all should ban together in hopes that they won't shoot first!
So tell me something then; you're all bent out of shape because cops don't want to raise their families in cracktown, they have nice guys like you pegged as a "potential suspect" just because you fit the description of yet another black male criminal in LA County, and somehow by not contacting Crimestoppers anonymously over the telephone, you just can't help solve the gang problem that gives guys like you a bad rap.
I do not believe the problem will ever be resolved. The LA's chief of police thinks their doing something by murdering people like Tookie William's and calling it a blow on the war on gangs! All the police did was allow a major flow of Mexican gangs that murder cops on sight! Honestly I do not see Crack as the problem, I see the people that bring it here a problem. The war on drugs itself can only be faught where its grown not imprisoning some kid selling nickel bags on the corner!
I agree that the problem won't be resolved. It's in too deep and too far. I also agree that taking-out a figurehead like Tookie is no blow on the war on gangs. I also agree that those of us in policing can do better with hitting the suppliers (where we have jurisdiction) and not a guy with a nickel bag of weed. I would rather deal with the real poison that's killing kids. We can't "go" to Mexico or Colombia to stop it. Only here. But we need to know where and by who. Hope we all can be helped!
If they legalize drugs and regulate it there would be far less drug related crime.i see the problem being a financial one as well as a spiritual one.The war on drugs is and allways has been a failure, lets hope prez,Obama does the right thing and changes these terrible laws.People need to take a stand,I dont view drug user's as criminals. The drug laws create the problem of crime.END the drug WAR now.
I agree! Drug use is by and large more of a health issue. You don't see people committing all kinds of crimes to get a drink (of liquor)--lol!!
And it is also a spiritual issue. Apathy isn't a crime--but it certainly becomes one when something happens to a loved one. This is why I love reciting the (7) kwanzaa principles of blackness. It helps to rediscover what we should do and then acting on it (hopefully) will inspire others to do the same.
its the damn drug laws that are the problem. of course your going to have crime when you have drugs illegal because it pushed the price of the drug thus giving an incentive to sell. Liberals and conservatives are very wrong on their veiw on the drug wars.
sorry for my bad grammar..but don't focus on that.
Fox News...I've watched a lot of videos coming from there and I get an over all sense that they are pro war and that they would support their president blindly without asking questions. It quite clear to see hosts beating down their guest who dare question their leader and war and would at times cut them. KEEP WATCHING AND YOU WILL SEE I"M RIGHT.

Cops show up in these neighborhoods to investigate crime and get: "I didn't see nuthin"
Cops don't act fast enough for these people and get accused of not caring.
Cops step-up patrols in these areas and get accused of profiling and "expecting trouble"
Can't win with these people.

DO you not realize that that's being racist?
or Do u just not care?
