Elidada! Immediately after you place the base grey in the jacket you begin drawing about 5 simple, black shapes on the model's left sleeve. With a few well-placed, abstract shapes you create the depth/shadow/highlight of the fabric as well as indicate the style.I know it's not random but it also can't be as difficult as it seems. I always get hung up here & ruin my drawings- how many folds/pleats/wrinkles and where to place them. Logic? Formula? (I know practice is key) Thanks for sharing!
omg i love your work i wounder if u can teach me some things ive been fashion sketching since i was 11 yrs old and i my self have taght my self to get better at sketing to get my inspiration and message through the sketch pls respond back.
@BlackMemory45 If I have to be honest, I started with drawing people BEFORE I started to draw architecture :)))) I always have been better in drawing figures, portraits than in architectural perspectives. I know so much about it because I do my homework :)) I have a good collection of books, I do a lot of inquiries and in combination with my own experience, I can give you any information you may desire.
i lolve your talen u have helped me so much ive used some of these techiniques in my portfolio im going to a work expirience interview so i need to show a portfolio you have helped so much.
@chantellefashion I am really flattered and glad I could help you. Please let me know how it was going and I would like to see some of your works if possible.
@izzywounder Honestly , I begun drawing portraits and later on I developed in drawing the whole body. I must say I'm still having my difficulties with the human body's proportions.
I would say use both- grey and black. As you can see in this video I used the color black in three different tones- bright grey, dark grey and black. Fabrics have often softer shadows and deep dark ones. Important for rendering taffeta is to keep the contours/edges of the tones sharp- don't blend them.
what pen do you use before coloring??

You are so beautiful to watch and you choose the perfect music. What books do you have or where and how did you learn to draw.
