@MrIgorStravinsky yep, she's lowered herself I think, Slavik is still competing and doing shows and coaching good to top dancers all over the world and charging a lot for it! Karina's not nearly known for what she's done competitively enough, everyone just knows her from dwts.

When he danced with Anna he was dancing worse than with Khvorova. Anna outshined him by miles so no wonder they split. If only Anna had stuck with Stefano they'd actually be able to compete for the championship.

Also, Mambo is in fact a latin ballroom dance. It's not part of the five in international latin but it's still a ballroom dance.

You might want to wrap your head around the concept of ballroom dancing. It is not exlusive term coined for international standard and latin dancing. For example, salsa is also a ballroom dance.

FYI, rhythm is its own divison outside of international std&lat.

You might also want to be aware that Elena Grinenko was a rather succesful int.latin dancer before starting to doing rhythm before making silly claims like:

"i think rhythm is for people who can`t do int. latin"

yeah you are right. I heard slavik has so much attitude. He used to dance with joanna leunis and he treated her badly thats why they joanna separated from him. now slavik cant find a long term partner because of his attitude. good thing karina dumped him as a partner.

Whilst Slavik is moody and a very tough partner, I think he just badly clashed with Leunis rather than treating her badly. I don't think Leunis is the easiest lady either!

He does have an attitude, but I watched him in between rounds at the disastrous comp he did with Hanna Kartunnen and he was really supportive and kept on gving her hugs and encouragement. He's tough, but he's not as bad his reputation says he is.

I also heard that it was Slavik who ended his partnership with Karina...

@NandoMasch that's true, she was doing some things behind his back and Slavik didn't like it very much so they split. I think she was ready to retire anyway, that's why she did dwts and did not compete longer like slavik. Slavik's very serious about his dancing and it may come across as hard or mean but it's for the good of each other, that's why they where 2nd in the world and not any lower.

Karina is one of the best female dancers in the world and still is. Just so you think that slavik single handledly rose to fame. You are wrong. It takes two hands to clap. The reason why slavik was so good was also because of karina. Best partnership i have ever seen.

slavik was doing great with joanna at amateur level. he would have done great with her at professional level if they stay together. he does not particularly need karina. same thing goes with paul killick, he danced with karina then moved on to hanna. paul was always in the final whomever he danced with.

i dont like Karina and ill tell u y- i think her partners carried her. she has danced with some of the best dancers in the world. the best in my opinion is Slavik Kryklyvi- there are many woman in the orld that dance better than her, who are professional. but ballroom dance is a partner sport- if u have a great male dancer he always makes the girl look better. She is not all tha great if u go to Moscow there are loads of girl who do not have visas to travel that are superior.
