  • That is ICEMAN I don't know how many people would dare to pull through that thick smoke with full throttle!!!!!!!!!

  • 0:20 Vtec kicked in yo !

  • THE ICE MAN COMETH!!!!!! Welcome home Raikkonen

  • Welcome back KIMI.

  • HES BACK

  • Back when Kimi was epic inside the car rather than hilarious outside of it. Anyone for ice cream? :P

  • its going to be great to have kimi back in 2012, but his going to drive for williams :( but! HIS BACK AND THAT'S THE IMPORTANT :D

  • Kimi's best days was when he was at McLaren.

  • Real life Days Of Thunder there

  • Watch 0:56 -0:57 and you'll understand why F1 is the greatest and most spectacular sport.

  • @blerand91 yeah. I agree mate. The grip is just spectacular!

  • good old spa, good old f1

  • It sounds like there was another car behind Kimi. I hear a car slow for Les Combes after Kimi already passed through. Anyone know who this driver is? From what it looks like, Kimi wasn't the only driver who flew through that plume of smoke.

  • @UltimateWheelman I think it was Button in the other BAR. I saw the quali but sadly couldn't see the race bcoz of a power cut.

  • @adiban100 Thanks. :D

  • 0:55 ball of steel, titan and god. :D

  • o.O 0:54

  • @WeLWets that's how you use the kerbs :D

  • INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • well done raikkonen. very good decision to stay in rallying, you belong there

  • @garethkielty

As long as he doesn't go to Nascrap, I mean Nascar.

  • Formula 1 without Kimi simply a piece of crap!!

  • @GORANJAMES2 It's not, get a grip.

  • miss you kimi :/

  • Would be really good if he came back, maybe with Red bull

  • Haha. full speed towards a cloud of smoke

  • He was almost driving with top-speed through this dust. Respect, I wouldn't be so brave.

  • ...and people watch nascar instead of this bad ass shit, give me a fuckin break

  • Titanium balls! Full throttle towards a cloud of smoke?

  • Should I press "like" to this video ... I can't , because I don't like, that he finished second at the Qualy ...

  • look 0:57 how fucking close it was oO

  • @Covzz09 Haha exactly what I thought, I was like, "GEEZ, look how fast he flies out of the first apex in pouhon!!"

  • KING OF THE SPA! He didnt lift at all going trough that smoke :P

  • button out kimi in

  • raikkonen the beast...

  • You see that and it's like - wow... can't do better than that....

then it's like - wow... Schu and Ferrari are..... 3 tenths faster! haha

  • @wpsracing108

    wow, schumi faster?!

Didn't you see Kimi having to go through the smoke after Eau Rouge without a clue what to expect? (0.20) look again, and imagine how much YOU would have slowed down if faced with that....don't say you wouldn't slow down dramatically..., unlike computer games, crashing hurts...he had NO idea what to expect through there-in fact you could even say he was endangering others....so to be 2 tenths down was a miraculous lap...

  • @Stereolabdream

Raikkonen didn't slowed down on this lap when he was in that big cloud of smoke

  • @Stereolabdream

Still, Michael Schumacher is the real king of Spa. Not because he has won six times here, but he won here in 95, when he started from behind, in 96 with a struggling Ferrari and the same in 97. If Coulthard wasn't blind in 98, he would haven won with more than a minute infront of Hill.

However, Kimi Raikkonen is one of the best drivers ever, I would rank him under the top 15 of all time.

  • @ImFasterThanTheStig

Τrue. Coulthard was on a mission in Spa '98 I think. Of course It's not only him to blame because he wouldn't be able to see that Schumacher was right behind him in these conditions. Team radioed this info and Coulthard did the rest...This incident finally ruined Schumacher's title challenge.

  • @chouzouris

    This and Suzuka.

  • @Stereolabdream he didn't slow down in the smoke. He stayed flat out there. Seriously.

  • 0:56 Bleedin ell.

  • Amazing spped through pouhon!

  • Great that Kimi won WDC with Ferrari .. but Kimi in Mclaren was some thing special . some thing totaly diffrent.. but its time to move on .. GO Hamilton & McLaren :)

  • The old Pouon, where you knew if you didn't thread the needle well enough, or took too much kerb on the outer apex, was superb to watch pre-2004, and Kimi got it spot on there. Fantastic. An F1 car cornering right on the edge of its performance...

  • Who was the other guy that drove through the smoke behind Kimi?

  • Hear the sound of the V10 engine in Eau Rouge. Just wonderful!

  • I can't believe he is out of F1 next year! I'm going to have a hard time watching it knowing The Iceman isn't out there. ):

  • very good qualy lap kimi.

  • imagine the sound if these engines were 19000+rpm v12 engines..

  • a peine a 0.3 s de shumacher avec une mclaren bien moins perfomante que l'INVINCIBLE F2002

  • that was the F1 what i like.. not what the F1 is at the moment..

I wish the old years back..

I only think on the V10 motors, with this awesome sound.. only wonderful

  • Peopla same the same thing about 79 and 91 and now 01... In 8 years there'll be people pining for 09.

  • ballz!

  • kimi was so much faster in mclaren....

  • @animeonperseest cause it was the car that made him faster =D

  • @TheEnemyac130above then why did it make montoya and david slower?

  • @animeonperseest cause david didn't know how to get the car set up spot on as kimi did and well montoya was just plain shit

  • @TheEnemyac130above Montoya, shit? You ok?

  • @MetaKnightsKirby yea im 100% fine montoya was a selfish bastard that is why he didn't last long in formula1

  • @TheEnemyac130above Alonso is selfish. Hamilton is selfish. Schumacher is and was selfish. All great drivers are selfish. It is a strength, not a weakness.

If the team brought an update that did not work for one driver but the team were adamant on it being fitted, some like Massa would take the team view and say 'sure, its best for the team'. Montoya would say get fucked son, no way you putting that thing on.

  • @MetaKnightsKirby thats why he was dropped by mclaren mid way through 2006 cause of his fucking big mouth if he was so good they would of kept him but cause he span on the warm up lap in australia and crashed a whole bunch of other times then used his own language and told him to fuck off and go somewhere else and where is he now in a pathetic sport turning left left left left and so on for 300+ laps BORING

  • @TheEnemyac130above Do you mean the same 'pathetic sport' Raikkonen now drives in? Montoya left Mclaren by his own will, he was NOT fired, and driving ability should be the most important thing.

  • @animeonperseest and thanks to mclaren's reliability issues he didn't win any championships =(

  • @animeonperseest Yes but something happened in 2008... Maybe some guy called Domenicali replaced good old Jean Todt.

  • @

I think that Raikkonen's personality was best suited for McLaren aka english team... He was not really compatible with Ferrari and that latin atmosphere.

  • @LVader20 Yes but Todt was the guy who wanted Räikkönen. I think it wasn't that Latin back then until Domenicali.

  • @LVader20 yeah thats true.. but at the time car was unreliable.. i bet u remember that xD

  • @MrTriwial

Yes, I remeber... What I meant is that he was not the same driver after he joined Ferrari. At McLaren he was so spectacular.. even in a shitty car. He had more fire.

  • @LVader20 the F60 is shitty car but he won spa 09 and couple of podiums~~!! Ferrari 's car been understeer alot which suit Massa not Kimi!! But kimi never brag about it...drive the understeering car in oversteering manner....most driver will just complaint!! His controlling skills been improve alot in ferrari period thanx to their understeering car!!

  • @LVader20 That's exactly what I think man. He just seemed so electrifying when he was driving those McLaren's. He drove better then, than when he won his championship in my opinion.

  • i'm a ferrari fan but this cars was wonderful (ferrari, mclaren mercedes, renault, this was the real F1 not now

  • kimi should rejoin mclaren in 2010

  • amazing 180 mph into the smoke!!

  • amazing kimi, full throtle through the smoke of panis' car

  • i assume you're talking about Brazil, the difference here is that this is a single yellow situation not a double yellow, and besides there's no wreckage scattered over the track only a broken Honda on the side of it. But no it wouldnt be amazing if he hit Panis and killed a marshall. =(

  • Yeah even so, I guarantee Kimi would not have knowed where Panis was, whether he was touring on the racing line or whether there was any debris on the track.

    Ballsy, no doubt, but reckless.

  • well the smoke was way up ahead. by the time he gets there panis will be off the racing line its common sense. and its not like they were close. but Kimi smart full throttle.

  • @Potoodle lol but noo

  • Absolutely amazing lap.

  • tama si kimi ay magaling at gwapo pero si schumacher parin ang pinaka magaling!!

in english kimi is good and handsome but schumacher is still the best!!

  • kimi the best!!
