  • Your A Thug<3

  • @PreciousMarie1000 -- Thanks....I think. LOL

  • Quick question which I hope you (or anyone else) can answer for me ... In the video, you appeared to lay the coloured batter out in thin horizontal lines. But at the end of the video where we see a cupcake cut open, the tie-dye effect seems to have continued vertically up the side of the cupcake. So it almost bordered the cake, rather than simply having a horizontally layered look. Did you do something when pouring the batter into the cupcake liners to cause this result up the side of the cake?

  • @carrybag94 -- Well, I tried to make the colors as even as possible. However, some colors did not want to cooperate and I ran low on some and others just weren't evening out. Also, as they baked my gues is when it starts to bake and rise, the colors just rise along with them. It was still fun to make and they were delicious.

  • could u like do a whole different video about how u did the frosting cuz i cant see nd i like really wunt 2............

  • @crazgrl51 -- Once again, please watch the video at 1:30 and/or read all the comments below.

  • who was the person who u called "baby!"

  • @crazy4food4765 -- That's my husband. He always walks in calling me some mushy name and on others I can beat him to it. LOL

  • people be nice to her. if you watched you would know she didnt show the whole smearing thing, but its kind of obvious what to do. her instructions were great, and the idea is pretty self explanitory.

  • @Pl8tob -- Thank you so much. I wish people would actually read other comments or the notice I put up at 1:30. I did the best I could at the time and when I realized the problem, I made the promise to do a new video, however, I have not had any occasion to do these again as of yet. Maybe Easter is a good time. Thanks again.

  • uhhh...seems like a cool idea..wish I could actually SEE something about how it was done

  • @ktfixit18 -- Uhhh...maybe if you actually read some of the comment below or watch the video at 1:30, you'll see the next time I make these, I'll post a better video.

  • Cute! I've been wanting to try the rainbow/tie-dye cake.

Just one suggestion, when you do the cupcake swirl with the frosting use a 1M tip. It's much bigger and gives the frosting a fuller look. I don't think they come in the plastic tips though but you can buy the metal ones at Walmart, craft stores, ebay, ect.

  • @LuvMePeople --Sure you can do 2 colors. Just look at your bag like a clock. Use one color at your 12 and 6 & the other color at 3 and 9.

  • can you just to 2 colors?

  • they turned out so pretty :) <3

  • i love that song is hawaii song

  • @lesmary1 -- Yes and no...it's a cover of Over the Rainbow from the Wizard of Oz, but with a Hawaiian flair for the movie 50 First Dates. But the song is great either way. Just love them both.

  • @courn2011 -- I believe I got mine at AC Moore. You can buy them almost anywhere. Walmart and Michaels definitely has them and I've even seen some grocery stores carry them.

  • fail

  • i love the song

  • @MultiNicole1998 -- Isn't it pretty? I fell in love with this song when I saw the movie "50 First Dates". It took me forever to find it though. Thanks for watching.

  • @TweetyGrl627 i kept hearing that song EVERYWHERE i went lol it's beautiful :]

  • @GiveMeThePaint -- I have trouble making up my mind what my favorite part is, the guy singing the song or the tropical beat in the music. LOL.

  • wheres the 1 video at??

  • @kellicrazybaby - At 0:12, a clear box comes us, put your mouse over that and it'll say Part 1 click here. If that doesn't work, just retype the title and put part 1 instead of Part 2. Hope that helps.

  • i like them

  • I can't wait to make these! They look sooo good.

  • I did this in silver liners, with white icing carefully swirled on so people weren't expecting the rainbow inside. :) Thank you for the idea!

  • @mockumentaries123 -- Wow that was a great idea!!!.. Your welcome for the idea and thanks for watching!!!

  • Thats a freaking HUGE rock on your finger XD

  • @AyaSarhan -- That's sweet. Thank you.

  • HUNGRY

  • Awesome video. Just what i needed for my little girl's bday

  • @lustforlife87 -- Awww....I hope it works out for your plans. Good luck!!!

  • when i seen those cakes i thought additives and e numbers not for me colour cakes no!

  • mARRY ME

  • omg this is awesome. can you make galaxy cupcakes? :)

  • How would you do it with liquid colouring? Could you please give me some pointers? (: Love the tutorials!

  • @cutie0kaila -- Thank you for your kind comment. As farf as the icing, I can't really say how the regular liquid food coloring would work. I don't imagine it would be much different and from what I have been told, the coloring I used in this video is just a thicker more concentrated form of food coloring. That may or may not be correct. If anything, I would just suggest trying a little test. Use a little icing with the food coloring and test it in a bowl or on a cookie. Good luck.

  • That icing is awesome!!!!

  • omggg i am gonna make that tonight

  • @Emonie68 -- I hope they turned out or will turn out great for you. LET ME KNOW!!!!!!!!!!

  • I did something like this for an army themed party except I only used camouflage colors. It was awesome! Then i did a small dropping of brown icing with crushed oreos to look like dirt. After that I topped it off with a small plastic army soldier toy. I was so proud of myself (:

  • @karina0said -- That sctually sounds like a lot of fun. Too bad my nephew doesn't like G.I. Joe's are chocolate cake for that matter. That would have been a fun party for him. Good work!!!!

  • @karina0said you should do a tutorial :) i would love that

  • This must of been stressful but sooo worth the effort!

  • It looks like play dough :) cute

  • sooo jelous. they look awesome :D

  • The color/holiday theme possibilities are endless too! I have so much fun baking like you! I think Christmas colored cupcakes would look festive for the occasion. :)

  • The colors are brilliant and beautiful. I think you did an awesome job!

  • @MsBuglady -- Thank you so much!! I had fun making them. I'm thinking of doing them again but just with Christmas colors. We'll see!!!!

  • WHOA the second one from the left on the very top row looks like a monkey's face. that's so cool!

  • These look AMAZING!! Such a brilliant idea, I cant wait to try this technique, I thought the white icing would show up more than it actually did, I have seen this technique used before, but was always a bit skeptical, however, after seeing how bright an colourful it actually is, I can't wait to give it a bash! Thanks for the upload!

  • @kellyg54 -- I had a blast doing these cupcakes. And this was actually my 1st time doing them. I hope you can try it soon, but be warned it does take a little more time than usual. Please let me know how you do with them. Good luck!!!!

  • Very neat looking cupcakes. I agree that a how-to video on striping the bag would be awesome. I'm a cake decorator by profession so already familiar with this technique, but it could be helpful for newbies at home. Not sure why others are leaving negative comments and even 'tips'. I don't believe she asked you for your 'tips'. Perhaps post your own video if you have tips to share. Otherwise she would have no reason to stand in front of a camera and show us her cupcakes.

  • @germangirlwithcurls -- Thanks fort he comment. I had a lot of fun doing these and this was actually my firt time making these cupcakes. It's a good thing it came out so well. Whenever I do get the time I plan on doing a "Bag-Striping" Video. But I'm not worried about what negative comments people have on here. For the most part people enjoyed it and I can only hope other people try this at home.

  • that looks neat!

  • You know...

  • do they taste good?(:

  • @pandapaws297x -- They taste really good. They actually stayed moist for another day or two instead of drying out like most others.

  • Hey that looks pretty cool. :) alot better than what I thought it would be. Good job. :) I might just have to try that little trick.

  • Probably some of the awesome cupcakes that Hansel and Gretel had. I wish I had some, they look so awesome!

  • anyone notice the song is Somewhere Over The Rainbow i like it it is calming

  • it looks like tooth past lol

  • That's so cool

  • Sooo cute

  • YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSS......THAT'S GREEN TOXIC HOLOCAUST.....TATATATATATA......"NUKE THE CROSS".........TATATATAATATA

  • EPIC

  • I seriously need to bake again.. For a different occasion

  • that's amazing! luv em

  • the one in the top left blew its brains out.

  • These are absolutely wonderful. You did an amazing job! Thank you for uploading, I will definitely try to make these.

  • Fix your video...you can't see what you are doing....I see the clothes on the floor....

  • The frosting is the best part!! nice! :)

  • thanks

  • Great Idea!! I like the video but the one thing I just want to give as a suggestion is to use a bigger tip. It would be less time to do for you and less pressure on your hand to squeezing the icing out! I hope that tip helps!

  • Awesome idea!!

  • pretty cool, try a 1m tip though much better than those plastic ones

  • So pretty ! :D

  • the frosting color is AWESOME! xD

  • ooo thats wicked!!! :O

  • whats in the green bowl?? paint ?

  • @xkandykane1x -- no, that's the vanilla frosting base that i used in the frosting.

  • @xkandykane1x lol

  • ok what kind of frostting

  • @erika9534 -- I used regular white frosting I believe from betty crocker.

  • They look like little planets!

  • those actually turned out way cooler than i anticipated. awesome.

  • @irkenequine -- Thanks...I had fun making them.

  • It's better if you don't use foodcoloring.. but it's so adorable.

  • I couldnt c anything = / awesome frosting tho!!

  • I couldnt c anything = /

  • Omg the icing is so awesome!!! =D

  • FAIL! But the icing is cool

  • I'm totally making these thanks!!!!!

  • All i can think of is hyper kids after eating all that food colouring lol. Nice idea though i think i would only do either coloured icing or coloured cake ;) I liked the somewhere over the rainbow tune in the background very appropriate. x

  • so cool......

  • I NEED.. THIS FOR MY BIRTHDAY GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMMMIE

  • Yummy :)

  • those r sooo cool! :) good job!

  • Hi there! 3 Tips:

    1. When scooping frosting into your piping bag, an ICE CREAM SCOOP is your bestest friend in the whole-wide world! I know this from experience. Scoop it up, turn it over the bag, flip the lever and PLOP it right in. Wonderfully easy.

    * I LOVE the frosting-bag-painting technique!

    2. If you add too much color gel to frosting, it will get liquidy and ooze off instead of staying on your cake. I suggest a little less.

    3. Pipe your cakes from the outside edge & cover the whole thing.

  • OMG the rainbow icing is soooo awesome! :D

  • Rainbow dash D:>

  • great cupcakes, they come out awesome. I plan on making some with my boyfriend soon haha (:

but what's the name of the song? Please answer! :D

  • @DearJoselyne -- The song is actually a cover of "Over the Rainbow". I believe it was originally from the "Wizard of Oz", but this remake with the Hawaiian flair is from the "50 First Dates" soundtrack. Wait for the end of the video as I put in the singer's name as well.

  • could you just use a plastic bag with the tip cut of if you dont have pastry tips

  • @thepandagod11 -- Absolutely, Just be sure not to cut to much off the corner of the bag, as you will end up with a huge blob. Good luck.

  • WOW !!!

  • I think these look way cooler then if the went in order/ level!!!!

  • can u do a video on how u made that icing it looks deliciouse! and link it to me please!

  • @xXLeMoNGuRlxX -- The next time I do this I will make a vid, but it won't be for a little while. However, be on the lookout for it.

  • Lol I like Them,ThEY Look like Eathers lol

  • The cupcakes looked freakish. The idea is a good one but you need to show more not just a bowl of icing. Also your speech is very hard to listen to. Um uh um uh like you know um uh um uh. I know your not a pro but working on these techniques will get you more followers/watchers. It will make me want to make your tye dye cupcakes. Good Luck!

  • @accountformyiphone -- I appreciate your input, but at the same time you have to realize when I cook and decide to do a vid for it, it's all on a whim and I don't have a script where a lot of other and professionald on TV do. However, i do hope you continue to watch.

  • Please reply, uhmm, any tips, tricks on how to prevent browing on the bottom and sides and tops of the cupcake

  • @DeoDewHD -- This can actually be a tricky thing. I would say for the most part, follow the directions on any package. However, start looking in on your cupcakes at least 5 minutes before the time limit. Use the toothpick trick to test the insides and if they come out clean, then pull them out. It all really depends on your oven...my oven I can ususally take them out a few minutes early or right on time, whereas my grandmother's oven I usually have to leave things in 5-15 minutes longer.

  • Here's a tip. Nest time you pipe with star tip you should really angle your bag. but it's your way but thats how i learned at hobby lobby.
