  • They did not have a good water supply in either of the fires, but with this one though it was a different shift, some of the firefighters had been on the other fire so they knew they'd have to set up a draft operation from a nearby pond along with shuttling, which allowed them to get that operation under way quickly.

  • I don't know if the unit's had a good water supply but my first thought was "deck gun" followed by hand lines. Sorry about he loss of the house & the first due engine certainly had it's hands full.

  • i would burn down my house if i got 36,000 views...

  • well that sucks...

  • Was this unoccupied at the time? Or just a fast moving blaze?

  • You can build a home of steel but it will still bend, break, and collapse. Concrete will crack, and pop until it's no longer structurally sound. There is no such thing as fire proof. And fires can start any where and any time. Just hope you call when our stations manned.

  • At 0:07 i cant tell if its a very small backdraft or smoke explosion inside the far right bedroom, but it looks pretty cool. Maybe its just something falling from the ceiling thats on fire. I cant tell for sure, but you can see the window glass flex so that tells me there was a pressure change in there. very cool.

  • Houses should be made from steel and concrete, wood burns, rots and termites love it.

  • @pacvend Unless you're going to furnish it with nothing but steel and concrete, it can still be destroyed by fire from the contents.

  • @ffjsb So is it not to any advantage to build my future home with steel framing, metal roof and concrete floor?

  • @pacvend It depends on where you live and how it's constructed. A concrete building with cement shingles is very resistant to wild fires. But if you have a fire that starts because of say careless smoking, you can still burn out the interior and possibly damage the house to the point where it is not salvageable. You'd be left with just a shell. It's better to have a good smoke detection system tied to an alarm, and good local fire protection. Home sprinklers are the best protection.

  • The first time I watched this, I thought the tone at the beginning was mine, and jumped up and was about to go when I realized it was on the video, sounds quite a bit like my departments tone.

  • The fire started because of a faulty air conditioner put in when the house was built. When the AC kicked on, it ignited some of the surrounding things in the attic and started the fire.

  • yep that house is gone!!!

  • I'm not sure how it started, but I believe they had just left before the fire broke out... The house next door that was built at the same time and was almost identical burned in the same fashion a year earlier.... They both were fully involved very very quickly and burned like tender....

  • @TheHaydenator el-cheapo built xD

  • How did this start if no one was home? that doesnt really make sense if a fire started while nobody was there to accidently start it. But still, this is an awful thing to hapeen to anybody. There was a fire on our street last week, but our FD nailed it before it had a chance to flashover.

  • @TheWaynelds electrical, they left the stove or something on, arson, furnace malfunction. There's many many different ways a fire can start if no ones home. Those are just to name a few.

  • This was my parent's house.

There was someone home, a friend of the family. He had a small burn but nothing serious.

Two cats and two dogs were lost in the blaze, only one escaped.

Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers during this awful time.

  • @0llovess0 Sorry about that..... Rest in Peace to your lost ones.
