It was not all about the 911 Carrera 3.2 back in the 80s! I owned both..and ultimate speed aside...the 944 lux was the best all round car for me. I toured through France... Paris, the Alps etc...the 944 did it all- with great poise, balance, economy, safety, style and practicality...the 944 was soo modern back in the day....I recall feeling like I was driving a car from another planet when I drove through rural France back in 1987...yep- the Renault 4 TL was the car of choice back then !

i have a 944 with hardtop cabrio in white, such a nice car, believe me!

The car is very familiar bcoz i myself own a 924 which has the same platform with 944.

The Problem i am facing now is how to change the engine to a Porsche engine and also change the transmission to automatic.

Any idea on what i can do to solve the Problem? The car is in Nigeria.

I have a mint 1982 944Lux in silver. Driving it around roads like those shown is awfull - no power steering.

Great out on the open road though and it doesnt even look dated.
