Blimey - I saw it for the first time last night at Glyndebourne. I thought it was going to be 'long and difficult evening' but it was the most gripping, moving opera I have ever seen. I'm sold. Anne Mason stole the show as Kostelnicka.

Saw Matill do this with Silja. Honestly the most moving and exciting evening I have ever spent in a theatre.
