You are covering up the barrels porting with your so called "Suppresser/Silencer" that will cause for the marker to be louder! And the ion already is a quiet shitty gun. You can even tell the audio was tampered with. If you want to fool somebody make sure you know how to properly tamper a video. You lowered the audio too soon, thus making it obvious for the viewer that you tampered with the video. Phony!!!!!!!!

Real suppressor are mostly hollow and slow down and cool the hot and high pressure gas leaving the barrel by trapping it inside the suppressor through the use of chambers and baffles. If you remove that foam from inside and make the suppressor one contained unit, it would work better than with the foam crap inside. If you can design some baffling system even better. The way its setup now is just useless.

ok well just buy a 5-10 buck barrel graffiti and cover the porting of ur barrel and u will have the samething although it prolly wont matter much but maken that silencer will also weigh much more.

The ATF outlawed paintball silencers because it was possible to modify them for use with real guns (though if your that dedicated I'm sure you could just hand build a firearm suppressor). Therefore paintball silencers are illegal pretty much everywhere. Yes I believe it is a stupid law but as a forewarning I would not try to bring one to an official paintball field, it could cause you problems.

Not sure if anyone else noticed it, but right before he starts shooting, the volume of the wind drops dramatically, almost like he just turned down the volume of the video right before shooting w/ suppressor. between 1:37 - 1:40 there's an audible drop in the volume of the back ground noise.
hood job man i have a ion and i jus made one my threds go a lil farther thru the berrel so mines abt 2x bigger i followed all ur steps except the lil plastic ring in the bak i jus used that white pluming take and shoved it to the end of the can and gorilla glued it to seal it even more i wraped some tape on the barrel so it can thisken and fit rlly snug in the hole and it works great thats man for the design rite back
but supressors don't absorb the sound, they contain and expand the pressure so that there will be less sound creation (or atleast that's the kind I want). And as for the weight, I did say "(or other alloy)". I'm sure you could get away with using aluminum for a paintball gun suppressor.
yea but compared to steel plastic does absorb a little more sound. I understand that suppressors just create more space for gas to expand and trap, but a paintball gun does not have 30,000 psi pressures.800 psi is probably the highest end of the spectrum so put things like cotton or foam inside to absorb sounds is smarter than just creating chambers. I agree it would be different but inefficient, UNLESS it was precision fit to .7 inches which would damn near seperate most of the gas from theball
yeah i have a pmi pirahna and al the gas goes out of the barrel so the only sound is the expansion of gas on mine and it is loud...until i put a silencer on it lolol

It did suppress it, but it wasn't significant. Maybe you should rethink the design of your suppressor. For one thing, you should have the air vent of the suppressor facing you not your target, that side should be sealed. Maybe its just on backwards.

its too heavy and steel is meant to withstand excessive heat. plastic absorbs sound a little better and is a lot lighter.
