Oh and make sure that if you do play games on the set that you go into advanced settings and turn Off Movie Plus as it can cause motion lag in games and the screen to jutter.

Keep the Contrast high, Backlight low and keep color and sharpness and brightness at around 60. It should look best at these settings. Also make sure to turn On DNIE + which improves contrast on the TV.

Well with any TV I would change the picture settings straight and tune them to your preference. However the picture settings that you use for TV and Blu - Rays looks fine with games as well.

I have this TV. It's an excellent set. Games look extremely crisp on the set, Colors are accurate, Blacks are deep and image sharpness is extraordinary. Blu- Rays also look amazing on the set, Full 1080p really makes Blu- Rays look great. The screen also doesn't reflect light so it's great in bright rooms. However the speakers are quite weak so I would recommend buying new speakers with the TV. There are 3 HDMI slots which is certainly enough. I hope I bettered your understanding of the set.

No it doesnt... most channel broadcast at only around 30hz so how does it convert it. at least from what ive been reading thats what they've all said. anyways, the only reason i wouldnt get the 6 series is because of the "cherry bezel", other wise i would. im just either gonna get the ln40a550 or the bravia40w4100 but since it has 8ms and the samsung has 5ms but no 120hz which is the down side... im pretty much leaning to the samsung cuz i dont like the sonys speakers showing on the bottom.
