I see what you did ! You passed the argon through a pass blue reflect green dichro, right? So you could get blue laser light to mix with the green instead of cyan , and then combined that with the red to get white, rather than just combining the argon with the red to get white. Very clever !
Yeah DPSS blue is far to expensive. I think thats what I'll do when I eventually get round to building an RGB, it's much cheaper. Also you could try getting a custom driver for the argon so you could use the modulation ;)
very good!

What happens if you touch it?

it can burn the finger if you stay on the laser beam. dermal burn.

yes you're right .
because at this time the blue DPSS was too expensive!. and this is the same thing today!
the argon lines are beatiful! more than 473 or 457 lines of dpss

Nice work !

Well at least analogue modulation, don't think you could use TTL all that well with an argon. And even then analogue might be a struggle ...
DiachiLaser 3 years ago
the modulation is not used but i have an acousto optic modulator (not in place on the video :) )
you can see the bracket at 10" :)

Ohh yeah I see it, I've seen one of them in another laser aswell. You really DID think of everything !

Got my argon :D It's got 3 lines at 10A , still waiting on a power meter to confirm power :P

waw man thats heaps coool. great work man :)

you know much about DIY infra red lasers?

IR laser are dangerous because invisible and you need to use a wabcam or camera to see the beam.
i've not use this model of laser at this time but i've buy a 35W IR laser diode and i will try to power it soon :) but with precautions!
