I've got the savage xl and it accelerates kinda slowly can anyone help out.

generally big bore engine has poor rpm even it has a big power. i think you should change the engine because of driving condition.

Not that fast though....., the engine lacks the ummph in terms of RPM.....I guess that is only a 3 port engine.

because of wide ratio gear set, RPM was not excited. i think sts is better from the engine with 7 ports not significant such as K4.6.
