ok umm moving to a low volume server is free. Moving is never required if you want to be on another server start over and stop QQing. you should pay if you want to take your toons over to a higher volume server.

Speaking of were all the WOW money goes. I have heard from a reliable source at a developing company that used to be owned by vivendi (57% owner of Activision Blizzard) that their development was basically financed by WOW. Blizzard is not the only developer in this concern but they do bring in the most cash, even probably most of the cash despite big names such as Universal Music group and Canal+.
Anyway, it could still be argued that this money comes to good use, just not exclusively for WOW.
This is why i love my guild, we are only 50 strong, but yet we are lvl 12, which is not bad, and we can almost finish raids even with ppl at ilvl of 342 or w/e. Its just about trying it, getting to know it, then doing it.
I don't like the new badge system. I always liked progressing through the tiers. It gave you a sense of accomplishment. When you moved up into the next tier of raiding, you felt like you had done well with your character.
I don't care that other people will be getting a free ride to the final tiers, I'm not an elitist. I just enjoyed the progression through all of the content. It's something I will miss. :(
just a question: Could it be so that Blizzard is charging money for those ream hops in order to avoid to much hordes/aliance on certain servers. you'd get specific horde servers with 99% of the players horde. wich would make pvp a laugh. they have sometimes got free ream changes to prevent this. btw i agree that it is to much money

To be totally honest... I did actually quit WoW because of the silly gear-grinding system. I totally agree with TotalHalibut when he's suggesting solutions regarding that problem... In the beginning of Wrath at least I found gear-grinding to be more of getting the loot from the instances to then, later on, continuing further to Naxx and Ulduar, which simply got spoiled when the ToC instance was introduced and everyone grinded that. But at least the grinding was for gear from the instance!
I agree that the having to pay for hopping servers and changing factions is unreasonable, however, the cooldown idea was pretty good. I would happily sign a petition to get this changed, however am not of age to be able to make this petition. Therefore I propose that someone makes a petition and gets signatures for it.
the best guilds in game have you go and fill out apps to see what kind of raiding yoru used to as well as other things to weed out people that want freebies, plus you might have a low item lv yes it makes things harder but if you can put the dps need to raid then you dont have to grind as much for the badges but some guilds will not let you have gear if you are not willing to put forth the drive to get the gear. same with the pvp guilds. so do the work requred or dont raid
I totally agree with you about the micro transactions such as server transfers and faction changes, it's one of the reasons I quit WoW. I can easily afford it but I think it's absolute bs and incredibly condescending.
346 is easly enough healing boss on my alt priest at 333 lvl gear(ive got 346 now but was doing grand with 333) people should stop complaining about doing dailys its up to you, most shit guilds 4/12 or somthing will bring you happly with crap gear, if you want to go to a good raiding guild ull need raid experence anyway so youll get the gear from that

Also, the amount of work one puts into something doesn't mean everyone has to like it. Life isn't fair. Not everyone likes the same things. I love TB, but some may not, or like some of his videos. That is their right.

To be totally honest... I did actually quit WoW because of the silly gear-grinding system. I totally agree with TotalHalibut when he's suggesting solutions regarding that problem... In the beginning of Wrath at least I found gear-grinding to be more of getting the loot from the instances to then, later on, continuing further to Naxx and Ulduar, which simply got spoiled when the ToC instance was introduced and everyone grinded that. But at least the grinding was for gear from the instance!

I agree that the having to pay for hopping servers and changing factions is unreasonable, however, the cooldown idea was pretty good. I would happily sign a petition to get this changed, however am not of age to be able to make this petition. Therefore I propose that someone makes a petition and gets signatures for it.

the best guilds in game have you go and fill out apps to see what kind of raiding yoru used to as well as other things to weed out people that want freebies, plus you might have a low item lv yes it makes things harder but if you can put the dps need to raid then you dont have to grind as much for the badges but some guilds will not let you have gear if you are not willing to put forth the drive to get the gear. same with the pvp guilds. so do the work requred or dont raid

I totally agree with you about the micro transactions such as server transfers and faction changes, it's one of the reasons I quit WoW. I can easily afford it but I think it's absolute bs and incredibly condescending.

346 is easly enough healing boss on my alt priest at 333 lvl gear(ive got 346 now but was doing grand with 333) people should stop complaining about doing dailys its up to you, most shit guilds 4/12 or somthing will bring you happly with crap gear, if you want to go to a good raiding guild ull need raid experence anyway so youll get the gear from that

@ 2nd mailbox, bs complete bs. my guild requires you to show up and not suck. thats it. i had jp gear some heroic gear and even some reg gear as a healer in our core group and i held my own as a resto druid against a shamen and a vp geared pally you dont need raid lvl gear to raid unless you suck

The only reason why Daily Valor points from daily heroics are required to raid are because morons THINK you need to be epic'd out in order to raid.
It was like that at the end of wrath too... "Oh you wanna come to ICC25? Got mostly 264 gear? NO? GTFO SCRUB"
