@theEddievanhalen Fuzz, overdrive and distortion are all different ways to distort your tone. Google for a better, more in depth explanation. I'm just a guitar player :)
picked one up today for 99$ the two knob versions are amazing! the three knob versions are more raw and have a more pronounced ring mod tone. I really dig the two knob version - it does sound like Gibbons, it has a very singing lead quality to it. Highly recommended if you can find one.
Nice catch!! From my experience that's pretty much the case with all the Lovepedal stuff. The new ones (non handwired) don't sound as near as what they were making about 3 years ago. That's what i think anyway.
This would be a great pedal for my Blues Jr. I only use the clean channel when I jam blues with that amp but this pedal would be great for my lead tone.
yes, it's one of the "old" ones that were handwired. the new ones have everything mounted on the pcb (pots, jacks...) never tried one, so i don't know what they sound like.
hey i'm tripping (in both senses...) over them all the time!! lol!! there's nothing like staring at these colorful, lighted little boxes in between songs... keeps me entertained ;)
Very Clapton-esque; Bluesbreakers era! Even though he was playing a Les Paul through a Marshall, it still has that tone. Got to love the BEANO album, man!!! Thanks for the demo.
a friend has one of these and I love it. I'm still on the hunt for one. I'm telling you every now and then Sean will release some pedals that rival anything and everything!
This is the tone I've been looking for ever since I heard '74 ZZ Top bootlegs. Your playing nails it as well. Gonna get me one of those.

@robertgroove66 but is it like distortion like....actual distortion or what???
theEddievanhalen 1 year ago
@theEddievanhalen Fuzz is usually made with transistors, distortion or overdrive with clipping diodes
fuzz sounds like a damaged speaker
overdrive sounds like an old amp thats so loud that it finally "dirts" the sound
and distortion is a really heavy overdrive thats mostly more sharp

Thanks Andrew!! no Paul, just a stock Strat with a blackface Deluxe Reverb. i guess it's just a matter of how you set things up.
