This song was played during the fight between Pride and Wrath, and the subsequent battle between the critically injured Pride and a nearly blind Mustang when Wrath was killed. It's interesting to see how Wrath was able to dodge Pride's attacks and kill him 3 times before Pride finally devoured him, when Wrath had no regenerative powers and was aged. If Pride hadn't destroyed his Ultimate Eye before devouring him, Mustang would have lost.

@MasterChiefPredator Pretty gruesome fight. Wrath blitzed Pride and chopped off his arm and head then kicked him back. Pride tries to retaliate, Wrath dodges using Ultimate eye and stabs Pride in the chest. Pride pushes him off and regenerates, but all this time, Wrath was unaware that Pride had actually surrounded him with his shadow. Pride then stabs Wrath to death. Wrath tries to evade using his eye, but it got impaled by one of Pride's spikes. Wrath dies and was eaten up by Pride.

Pride tried to devour Wrath to take the power of his Ultimate Eye, but he destroyed it in order to prevent Wrath from dodging his attacks. Because Pride was pretty wounded when he fought Mustang, he couldn't fight at full power, but still, it took Mustang, Ling Fan, Greed, Alphonse and Edward to simultaneously battle him before Mustang could deliver the killing blow to Pride.

--SPOLIER ALERT--

Pride (In the manga and Brotherhood, otherwise known as Selim) was defeated by Edward. Mustang NEVER fought Selim Bradley.

Pride in the first anime series (King Bradley) was killed by Mustang. Wrath was NOWHERE near that fight. Nobody ate anyone.

Wrath in the manga and Brotherhood (King Bradley) was killed by Scar. Wrath was critically wounded by Captain Buccaneer and Ku. Greed fought him, but didn't kill him.

@MasterChiefPredator As I said, Wrath in the manga was killed by Scar. Mustang briefly fought Wrath, but Wrath sliced through his gloves and pinned him.

Wrath in the first anime series was Izumi Curtis's child. He dies during the fight with Gluttony in the Conqueror of Shamballa, when Alphonse transmuted him.

Nobody in the first anime series ate anyone else, except Gluttony. There was no shadow monster.

In the manga and Brotherhood that was Pride.
