holy shit!!!! I remember watching Nick Jr. as a kid and for some reason this creepy ass song always stuck with me... I would make up words and from time to time try to look it up... I thought it was from a David the Gnome episode for years.. haha.. Nostalgia City!! I'm glad i'm not the only person that was plagued by this ridiculous song. I'll never understand it but it brings a 15 year pointless search to an end.

If anybody thinks this is one of the many fairy tales where girls have to be rescued by their love ones think again! It's one of the few. The only other fairy tales I know where a maiden has to be rescued are sleeping beauty, snow white and the water of life. Here is a list of fairy tales where boys have to be rescued

Thank you! THANK YOU! For years I vaguely remembered the cartoon and yet I knew this song by heart. All I could remeber was that the show was a fairy tale anime series. So I just spent the past hour searching youtube beacuse I was determined to finally figure out where the hell this song came from. I have been looking for this song pretty much my entire life lol, you are awesome. I'm 25 now and I heard this when I was a little kid, it was probably the first song that stuck with me that I couldn't get out of my head and had to hear again. I NEEDED to hear it again, I sat and watched episodes of Grimm's Fairy Tales for weeks after that waiting for this one to air again and I never did get to see it except maybe once by accident after I'd stopped looking.
