I love Tom Cruise. He works really hard, never difficult on the set, and he does his own stunts. In Knight and Day he really leaps off that building only to get slammed against it to do the stunt where he leaps off the building into the water. Directors love that because they can take a full complete take without cheats to cut the stunt double in. People should get off his back. The media is vicious and will turn on anyone who's been popular for a long time.
