Wow, this would REALLY save some money... nitro is really expensive... 1 gallon costs me $40 and lasts me 2 months... diesel is $5 a gallon and would last me 2 months?
This does not run on regular diesel fuel as many think it does. It takes special diesel fuel that is just as expensive as nitro. If it ran on pump diesel dont you think you would see more of these kits?
@savage464646 jesus christ you troll. i was just saying what happened to me. I wasn't dissing anyone. Pull your head out of your ass you ignorant blight to humanity.
@AlchemistHawk well how the hell would diesle rust the crank its oil based lubricant you must have had more moisture than diesle in there somehow then. and your right about the comment im sorry for that I was having a shitty day and snapped when I read that diesle rusted something again im sorry for the comments they were out of line and I feel dumb for writeing such filth but diesle would not rust your crank!
@savage464646 Who knows? It could have been from sitting, it could have been from bad gaskets and seals. I can't say. It was over 2 years ago with an old Pro 15. I remember taking it apart after a failed diesel conversion and the crank was rusted.
I have a dieselized axial 28 from him and I tell you it's not nitro. It's kerosene base and you won't be able to start it witha pull start. Lot's of torque.
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha lmfao you guys are idiots all nitro rc motors are diesel lol think about how a rc motor works it has a hot spot (glow plug) that when fuel and air reach a certin pressure explode this principle is called dieseling all diesle have glow plugs (all modern ones) this guy just pulled a wool blanket over your eyes lol
@xandercage7681 youre describing the diesel theory. im not disagreeing that rc motors are in fact diesel but this is a completely different type of motor. a stock nitro motor could never reach the torque and grunt of this conversion
@xandercage7681 Just had to be the first to call YOU the idiot. This is a diesel conversion, not to run on your every day diesel. but the model diesel. Ether kero and other ingredients. there is no glow plug in an RC diesel. but rather variable compression. your theory is correct. but this engine is Not a nitro engine. :P
omg mann how high do u like ur idol it sounded ill like it could gag up fuel but there wasnt enough fuel to gag on so it made the weird back fireing noise
This is what i have been looking for! I reside in Africa. I bought a Revo 3.3 over a year ago and have not been a ble to get it started due to non availability of nitro fuel or nitromenthane in my country. How can i order the kit and everyting i would need to convert my Revo.3.3 to a diesel Revo 3.3?
i think that it is cool as hell. I would have never thought of using diesel engine like this. Just to think while us nitro guys are stopping to fuel up it will be like that commercial on tv where they just pass the pump and keep on trucking. But i bet that this truck will out pull any or our trucks any day of the week. Just to think no more glow plugs. One more question diesel what is the top speed of your diesel revo i am curious and thinking about building one from the ground up.
The Revo in the video is covering 160ft from a dead stop to breaking in 3 seconds. Thats approx 40MPH. Traxxas rates it's trucks at 270ft. It's safe to say it would have reached 50mph, but I doubt the tires would have stayed on. If you change the gears, you can go faster but you will need low profile tires. Ultimate speed could be 60-70mph.
diesel is bad for glow engines, you re going to blow your engine, and it's going so slow.. my stock t maxx is twice as fast. i give u credit for being able to do it and ingenuity, 0 for performance.
We've been at this for 33 years with proven results. Where do you get your comments from? Have you ever tried our products? We've never had anyone come back to us saying our conversions blew their engine.
@CanadianTechHelps it's not regular diesel fuel, it's special rc fuel for diesels, it's hard to find and pricey.
Jx1x3 1 month ago
@Jx1x3
yeah it's almost the same price as Nitro, infact some Nitro blends are cheaper than this stuff...
brushless55 2 days ago
@Jx1x3 That sucks. I now run a cheaper nitro fuel, $20...

is this diesel converted revo 3.3 much easier to tune as compared to the stock trx 3.3 racing engine, thanks in advance.

Doesn't sound right at low RPM. Sounds like it's misfiring. Maybe a bit too lean? Compression off?

can you start this engine with a pull start, and does this engine have the same speed as stock.

what website did you go to to buy the diesel conversion kit.

what if you put regular diesel fuel (car diesel i mean) mixed with about 10% oil and you run it on a stock glow engine? is it going to work?
tankjr85 2 years ago
non cammina per niente altro che diesel
Sandronixs 2 years ago
Since this guy's using diesel, theres no lub to cool the engine.
Bye bye engine!
Naturepheonix 2 years ago
well no
it uses ether kerosene and castor oil
so the engine lasts longer has more power and is cooler....
and does not use glowheads
robot797 2 years ago
Wait, the temperature is lower then using nitro ???????
But why is it stalling then in the video?
Naturepheonix 2 years ago
i dont know it can be to much comression
or a wrong setting.. or even that the engine is to cold (then it will runn like crap)
i dunno it isnt my car

Oh okay thanks :)

i have a cox diesel
but i cant find the kerosene...

can you use regular diesel out of the pump

no that wont be good

so its still nitro or something cheaper

no it is a mix of ether kerosene and castor oil
so it is just a little cheaper as nitro

Why do you have to be ugly. I believe you can get a 4-stroke that runs on gasoline, all you need to do is stick oil in the fuel.
