  • Amazing animal...majestic is the only word

  • What's the name of the song?

  • I don't know why, but I am absolutely mesmerized by these creatures.

  • Beautiful owl. I saw one the other day and he just sat there without bothering about me and my brother. Lovely eyesight that made my day!!

  • Damn Nature, You Scary! That thing come round my house, I kill it!

  • @ClubSkyrim LOL! I wish I could see that thing around my house... It is absolutley gorgeous! Beautiful bird!

  • i wish i was friends with one.

  • beautiful how you got them in flight like that. amazing animal. i love owls

  • Twilight from guardians of gahoole!

  • Dangit, I keep coming back to see this Owl! Awesome..

  • Don't watch whilst stoned... extremely frightening.

  • I can not beleive how close the bird got to you. I can't think of any other animal that would come that close to you. It just amazing. Super video.

  • I would probably be scared stiff if I ever saw one in the wild, they just look so intimidating.

  • twilight the owl from guardians of ga'hoole is the one reason why I love these owls the most. Also, The size of them is just amazing!

  • kinda creepy but still a very cool bird

  • He's awesome!

  • Very nice.

  • @ 1:30 Owl looks over paranoid for cops and then says: "Yo bro, you got 20 bucks I can borrow, I got to get some shit I need. Yeah.."

  • @LordoftheKaty lol....straighten your life up quit doing drugs./

  • awww :)

  • .....'Owl Lovely!

  • i want to hug it!

  • 'Owl fascinating

  • I find them so funny. I cry with laughter every time. They're brilliant!

  • Beautiful--thanks for sharing! Any thoughts on the unevenly dilated pupils on the owl at 1:29-1:39? Is that common, or an anomaly particular to this individual bird? Regardless, the Great Grey Owl sure is an imposing, yet handsome and graceful creature.

  • @fiatlux123 You can do this yourself. Put a hand over one of your eyes, look a lit light bulb, and then look quickly into a mirror while uncovering your covered eye. You will see your pupils at different sizes, because they can individually adjust to different light levels.

  • anyone else think that if the male could talk he have ADD LOL

  • how did you got to film this owl that close

they usually avoid people and movements during the daytime

  • 0:50-*OWL* wtf was dat?

  • i dunno why i'm totally in love with this creature, i can't resist just staring in its face, AMAZING :)

  • Oh this music is just...yes. Just yes.

  • Awesome. Thanks for posting.

  • 1:40 just shows how big that thing is. so beautiful. c:

  • @motionlesslovee

I was just going to type that exact same thing :)

  • I think these are GORGEOUS creatures. Not scary to me, but rather majestic! <3 Great video.

  • amazing footage..We do not have the range of owls in Australia, Our largest owl is The Powerful Owl. thankyou for sharing your wonderful 'capture'.

  • stunning creatures. wonder how long it is before we kill them all

  • They're so funny looking but really scary at the same time :S Maybe it's the music :)

  • The Owl is my favorite bird of prey. I live in a wooded area and have managed to learn their voice, and often talk with them. The Indians of these parts, North Florida say thay an owl comes to tell you that you are being deceived.I can listen to them catterwoll all night,a form of arguing with one another, and a showing of amourousness...

  • @3DDoGG

Cool.. I live in the pacific northwest, me and my friend talk with a few out here on his property in Estacada, Oregon. I just seen him on a log yesterday for the first time up close and it was so wise/calm seeming.

  • @MadeInOregon27

I love sitting out in the yard at night, all still and pitch dark,no lights,as we live in a secluded area of a wetland, that is a tree preserve,so lots of water oak, blackjack oak, etc. Owls galore.Ever so often,a pair will land in a closeby tree to mate, which is a rather violent affair..and very noisy too..I didnt think I could ever learn to attract them, but it seems I may have.Im wondering if leaving bits of raw meat up in the trees might bring them closer?

  • what a thing of majestic beauty

  • They scare me

  • I'm gonna use this on my presentation about Great Grey Owls. Its gonna be awesome.

  • it would suck to be an owl tho, their heads move so funny cuz they cannot move their eyes... If you ever notice owls always stare str8 ahead

  • Tell me about my quest, kaepora gaebora

  • like a boss

  • anybody think It looks a little like a orangutan?

  • @motrinman19 i was totally thinking this the whole video xD

  • That thing has such a creepy face

  • TWILIGHT!!!!!!

  • am i the only one who thinks they look scary

  • @itzkolpi You are not alone

  • @itzkolpi This bird looks mean. The barred owl calling is way more scary if you can find a good video of it. At least to me anyway

  • @itzkolpi /watch?v=Id2A8yC_JJY&feature=related

  • @itzkolpi no, i do too! i think its the eyes and the fact they are completey silent when in flight, just very eerie! still, i think they are beautiful animals!

  • 1:30 Oh my God! How cute! What a great footage! Is this a DSLR which lens are you using? The owl head looks like it could spin 180 degrees, robot head!!!

  • i dont know why, im addicted to owl's... but sadly java people said that owl's have a bad luck.. so yeah my dad wouldn let me have a pet owl :)

  • 1:04 I see you

  • everyone is fond of owls!

  • What a beautiful visual treat -- thank you for posting your wonderful footage!!!

  • Amazing photography. Great video.

  • so precious (:

  • If you pause at 1:42 you can really see how great it is :O

  • Im pretty sure thats David Bowie.

  • In response to the one who asked if they sound like hawks watch the vid again a listen when it tells about the female at the end. She calls to the male an does sound like a hawk though I am not sure what kind of owl it was you were referring to but it wasn't a grey.

  • I wish i was an owl :(

  • they look like Eskimos!

  • I love the shape of the back of their heads! And the way they move, so captivating. I HAVE to see one of these in the wild someday...

  • Aw come on,what's with all the Ga'hoole references?:/

Owls don't have to wear armour and fight to be awesome.:)

  • @Sk8Meowfia Nobody gives a shit.

  • 0:29-0:43 Great Gray: Someone is stalking me...

    0:52-1:04 Great Gray: I am a NINJA!

1:05-1:14 Great Gray: Who are you? What do you want? Stop stalking me or I will attack. Die FOUL BEAST!

1:29-1:39 Great Gray: What are you looking at?

1:44-1:56 Great Gray: Where is that music coming from?

  • waua thanks for this video it is wonderfull to see a bird of this kind in acction. again thanks and God blesed you.............

  • 1 of Kludd's "Pure Ones" thumbed down.

  • Que hermosa ave, felicidades logran tomas exelentes.

  • Yet wheres Soren,Gylfie, And Digger? Arent they sopposed to be a band of four owls?

  • 0:51 "Halt heathen!! No outsiders past the this bush!" 0:54 " Where are your friends? HMM! Don't all answer at once!" XD I love owls

  • THE GAURDIANS!!!

  • one of its pupils are bigger than the other!

  • This bird is actually pretty light but its feathers make it look puffy :)

I read that its big head works as a sonar and redirect sound to eats ears, its like putting two giant hands behind your ears and cupping them. Its flight is so sillent so that it doesnt interfear with focusing on the sound of the animel that it is hunting

  • @new9876 Totally. The "disks" that make up the shape of the face act as parabolic dishes that pick up sound

  • so they are the blackbirds of owls and are the splinter cells of OWLS!

  • Cute

  • I notice this video was taken place in Sweden

  • Huge forehead! XD

    Beautiful bird.

  • want some

  • whoa hard to see such cool forests these days..

  • THAT SHIT LOOKS SCARY JUST STARING AT YOU BUT I TOTALLY WANT ONE!!!!

  • AWESOME!! Thank You!

  • isn't this a trained owl? because i can't believe wild owls would come so close to humans

  • i held one of them, and they are sooo light!! they look really heavy put only weigh about 2 pounds!!

  • It's quite obvious that this bird was being moused!!

  • that owl is FREEKIN HUGE imagine one of them landing on you *kerthunk*

  • 1:50 at profile it has the outline of a human face, kinda scary.

  • 1:30 the owl is like "omg a camura i am fucking famous!" XD

  • Of course what they don't show you is the owl crashing into Ron Weasleys breakfast.

    Ron: "Bloody bird's a menace!"

  • 0:52 his little feet so cute

  • great job on the video keep up the good work

  • I'm kinda worried about that owl being so tame. Magnificent bird though and probably my favourite owl, spectacular footage.

  • @Sk8Meowfia OMG as soon as I saw the title of the video and the thumbnail i thought the exact same thing, and when I saw your comment it made smile even more!!

  • twilight

  • Does it eat pizza?

  • I love this owl. People in Wisconsin believe that this owl is the "Moth Man", whatever the Moth Man is, must be a fiction figure from some kind of horror movie. One guy vomited out of fear of the owl. HaHa. So ridiculous. People need real serious education. Schools should teach kids about wild life and the needs of wild life and about the horrendous effects of hunting, pesticides, and off road vehicles.

  • @NicolaRedwooddforest

    Totally agree!

  • @masteregle Thank you. :0)

  • @Sk8Meowfia yeah, at least kathryn lasky made a new series about the dire wolves ^-^ but there's only 1 book D:

  • Almost intimidating as it flies at the camera.

  • i love great grey owls. my favorite bird on earth

  • aww its so cute i want to hold it on its back like a baby

  • i have seen a great grey owl before

  • O rly?

  • What's he doing out in the day time?

  • At 1:29 "Step aside man, you're blocking my view!" lol :D amazing footage btw!

  • Very Good Video and captions.

  • Hahaha! 1:29 "What chyu lookin' at?" Lol. They are very majestic birds. I only have a couple questions. Are they ever brown? And do thay sound like a hawk? Because I was at my sister's acreage and there's owls just like this at their place but brown and sounds like a hawk. No people, it is not a hawk. I've been around birds and wildlife in the area before. Haven't seen anything quite like it before.

  • Owls don't mind people and most even like their chests rubbed

  • I AM KEEPER OF THE LANDS. WHAT IS THAT YOU SEEK? - Owl

  • The only thing he shot at the owl was a camera.

  • I don't see what's so great about them they can't even build their own nests haha. Only kidding of course they're not just great they're awesome.

  • owls totally rock my world. Theyre sooo cool. I need bright orange eyes

  • Are you thinking of European Eagle Owls? They are the biggest owls with Orange Eyes.

Great Horned Owls, Great Grey Owls, and Snowy Owls all have yellow eyes.

  • Im just thinkin of owls in general mate. Big owls with orange eyes are where its at. Your probably right though.

  • I see. I live in North America and according to my research the majority of Owls here have yellow eyes, not orange.
