I don't live near mountains too... And I am planning Aconcagua this year. So, can you give to me a typical training week (activity, time spent in said given activity, and intensity of activity) towards the end of your preparation? Thanks a lot!
Yes, you're right...22834 ft or (6960 m)...I did a lot of running, and a LOT of stairmaster and inclined treadmill with my pack, because I don't live near the mountains!!
Aconcagua is 7,025.4 m (23,034 ft) high, in the Andes of western Argentina near the Chilean border. The highest peak of the Western Hemisphere, it was first scaled in 1897.
Is there something about this that isn't explained? Seemed like "Frank" was crying...then the knelt in front of the cross. What was that all about? Looks like a cool climb. Nice summit.
no real mystery...just had a tough climb and got emotional to have made it..the cross is always there as the summit focal point and everyone sort of kneels there for a photo (but believe me, I was thanking God too for getting my tired ass up there!!)
thanks bro...my buddy shot it on his high def camera, but after we were back, I simply shot it with my simple camera video looking into his camera screen(if that makes any sense)
That makes perfect sense. I thought that at first. It has that bleeched out look that you get from privated DVD's shot in the theatre...hence I thought maybe it was film. Guess that explains the crappy audio ;)

I thought this mountain was 6,959m or 6,962m. It is not listed as a 7000der... Unofficial altitude?
How did you train for this climb?
